When you get excited because it's misty!

When you look for Dragonsteel, find it's missing, and are disappointed.

You know you're a Sanderfan when you write your name in Alethi script and glyphs (sorry for bad quality).

When you see a girl wearing a fingerless glove only on her left hand and wonder why she is being so skimpy.

When you read a book series with talking, “awakened” swords, and one is black, and Nightblood just keeps popping into your head.

When every fantasy book title seems like a rip off of TFE.

When you are confused by the fact that your sibling did not immediately read a 1300 page book despite your insistence that it was excellent(WoK).

When you know your dad didn't read the WoK book that you got him for Christmas last year even though he said he did simply because he isn't buzzing about it the way you do.

When you keep making references, and everybody around you just rolls their eyes and says "Brandon Sanderson?"

And they're right.

When a giant pile of spikes shows up in a dungeon in your DnD campaign, you make a joke about it being a Hemalurgy lab, and one of your fellow players actually predicts that you would make that joke.

And to make it better, the friend who pointed that out isn't even a Sanderfan. (I'm trying.)

Here's the pictures I used. The English letters on the script image look pretty similar, so double-check you're writing the right shape!

@Feruchemical Skybreaker@NorthStar

The glyphs are read symmetrically from left to right as a single symbol. The symbol is a word. They symbols aren’t separated into letters. You then would stylize the general shape into the noun.

Interesting, could you explain more?

:lol: So, when writing a glyph, those symbols you used are the parts that make up the glyph. So if you looked at this

Then you’d see the original “stance” glyph, and then you’d see each of the different lines are a symbol, a letter symbol. Then you mirror what you have drawn over the y-axis, because symmetry. The glyphs themselves are from left to right and stylized. Heavily stylized, sometimes to the point where it can be difficult to distinguish the separate letters. But it’s a kind of art, with every glyph looking different.

When you keep getting reputation from old YKYaSW posts and you realize that people are such fans that they go through all the old posts :D

With relation to the glyphs, it's actually really fun to squish and rearrange the lines to make it look like something. I've done this with names of friends, and it's incredible how many different things you can make with a single name :)
