Errors in 'Mistborn: The Final Empire'

Intrinsion

Recommended Posts

I recently started reading the Mistborn trilogy and have noticed a few errors in the hardcover edition of the first book. I would like to know if these errors exist in other peoples' hardcover books or if they were carried forward into the paperback editions.

Firstly, in Chapter 1 on page 31 it goes:

"He’s looking for someone to punish, Vin though. He always gets nervous before a job."

when it should be "Vin thought."

In the 'Ars Arcanum' at the end of the book, it states that zinc soothes the emotions and brass enflames them, when it should be the other way around.

This error is carried into the 'Allomancy Alphabetical Reference' except at the beginning of the zinc entry it uses the word 'brass':

"ZINC (EXTERNAL MENTAL PULLING METAL) A person burning brass can Soothe another person’s emotions..."

I'm sorry if a similar post has already been made, but I couldn't find one through searching. Thanks for reading this post and for helping me determine how widespread these errors are.

Sorry for bringing this thread up (couldn't find an official thread and didn't want to post in Alloy of Law's thread).

On the mass market paperback edition, on page 278, the text states Renoux was “pouring over another ledger,” when it should read "“poring.”

I don't know if this is the official thread for Final Empire or if these mistakes have been corrected, but...

Page 298 (paperback) - chapter 17 - the first sentence after the first break: "Later that evening, Vin still couldn't believe how eager she was to go the ball." --> should be "...was to go to the ball."

Page 299 (paperback) - chapter 17 - "Noblewomen didn't get annoyed when they couldn't to go out stalking at night." --> there's an extra word there.

Hope this helps :-)
