Stefano
I'd chose: - Peter Mensah as Sazed - Charles Dance as Straff Venture - Michael Fassbender as Kelsier - Alicia Vikander as Vin Not sure about the others, any hollywood actor should be nice
xXਦਰਸ਼ਨXx
I am a formal actor and have performed live and on film. I might make a pretty good Elend or Zane or Spook.

Kaladin-Stormblessed
After seeing Cara Delevinge in Carnival Row, I felt that she would be perfect as Vin. The only thing I am concerned about is her acting skills. But here is my cast Vin - Natalie Dyer (Stranger things) or Sarah Hyland (Modern Family) Elend - Daniel Gilles (The balance to Joseph Morgan from the Originals) Kelsier - Joseph Morgan (The Originals - I mean if you want that sort of charismatic leader who is reckless... do I need to explain more) or perhaps Ian Somerhalder Marsh - Paul Wesley if Ian Somerhalder is Kelsier Ham - Tom Hopper (Black Sails) or perhaps Manu Bennett (Arrow, Spartacus) Breeze - Peter Capaldi (Doctor Who, although I could consider casting him as Straff Venture Spook - Tom Holland (Spiderman) Clubs - Edward James Olmos (Battlestar Galactica) Dockson - Russell Crowe (Something like the Gladiator role he played) Sazed - Morris Chestnut (Initially I was thinking of Mike Colter who is known for playing Luke Cage but I felt that would be too big a built for Sazed. This is because while Sazed is tall, he is not as built as Colter unless he taps into his feruchemy) Tindwyll - Tilda Swinton (she did an amazing job in Dr. Strange) or perhaps Gina Torres (Suits, Firefly) Thoughts? This is a pretty good list! I don't know all of them but the ones I do make sense. The only one I'm really against is Tilda Swinton for Tindwyll. I'm just really stuck in Phylicia Rashad (the mom from the Cosby Show). She would nail the whole I-tell-kings-what-to-do thing!
NysemePtem
Hugh Grant as Elend anyone? Just restructure the whole movie as a dorky rom-com with the Skaa revolution in the background
Quantus
Ive think Ive landed on John Leguizamo for Lopen. Not sure exactly how old Lopen is supposed to be though?
Channelknight Fadran
Everybody's saying Samuel L. Jackson as Sazed, but I honestly think the only man for the job is Morgan Freeman If only Robin Williams was still around. He'd be a perfect Kelsier...
Danthemystic
I think Chris Hemsworth would be an amazing Kelsier and Henry Cavill should play Marsh

Daelight
I think that Nathan Fillion doesn't look much like how i thought Kelsir was.
jamesbondsmith
Some of these are way too old, but it's how I pictured them. Vin: Felicity Jones (like I said, way too old) Kelsier: Stephen Amell Clubs: Brendan Gleeson (somehow any grizzled scarred veteran becomes Mad Eye Moody in my head) Sazed: Danny John-Jules (Cat from Red Dwarf, if anyone is wondering. Again, possibly too old, but I'm not sure if there was an age specified for him) Breeze: Alex Bellamy (the merchant captain from Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest) Ham: Vinnie Jones (it'd be fun seeing him being super intellectual)
Skaromas
I was reading through this and on page 8 or 9 it said what about the Wax and Wayne series, and I personally think Robert Downey Junior would make a good Wax

Like maybe Josh Brolin. I could see a younger RDJ playing Wayne actually but now he's too old.
Winter Wolf
I recently finished reading the first trilogy and all throughout I couldn't help but imagine Maisie Williams as Vin and Timothée Chalamet as Elend. Since Vin is only 16 in the first book and makes it into her early twenties by the third, Maisie would be perfect since she can play younger than she is and would be the exact age by the end.
Toaster Retribution
Recently, I have been considering Sam Claflin as Kelsier. He looks the part, is about the right age, and can pull off the charisma (Finnick in Hunger Games). Also, Zach McGowan would make a cool Marsh. He is Roan on The 100, among other stuff.
Kiya
Totally random opinion, but all I can picture in my head for Vin is Lily-Rose Aslandogdu. Y'all have to watch the Save the Children video that stars her--her acting is unreal, especially for her age. Knowing how long productions take, I think she would make a lot more sense. She'd actually be closer to Vin's real age, and would grow with the series. I think a lot of the other actresses that have been suggested are too adult, curvy, sexy, etc. to play Vin, especially initially. The first book strongly emphasizes how small, thin, and scrappy she is, and how easily she can hide herself. She's grown up being starved and beaten--an amazing powerful healthy curvy woman doesn't seem anywhere close to the right fit. I think this actress's sharp features and super-focused stare work really well for Vin. Plus all the hinting in the first book of Vin being like the daughter Kelsier never had--a Natalie Portman or even Summer Glau would not be close to believable as his daughter figure. I think the next closest suggestion I've seen is maybe Brianna Hildebrand or definitely Mckayla Twiggs.
PiedPiper
I think I've done a pretty thorough job. I've also spent an inordinate amount of time on this post. These are all of my "OH MY GOD THIS WOULD BE SO COOL" castings, in no particular order: Vin: Aubrey Plaza (April from Parks and Rec) Kelsier: Robert Downey Jr. Spook: Tom Holland Hammond: David Boreanaz (Angel from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel) Elend: Timothée Chalamet Straff: Michael Keaton Zane: Kit Harrington Dox: Chris Pratt Breeze: Matthew Perry (Chandler from Friends) Tindwyll: Elisabeth Röhm (Kate Lockley from Angel) Sazed: Anthony Stewart Head (Giles from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) Lord Ruler: Sean Maher (Simon from Firefly) Marsh: Josh Brolin (Thanos) Clubs: Adam Baldwin (Jayne from Firefly) Mare: Gina Torres (Zoe from Firefly) Lord Cett: Samuel L. Jackson Allriane: Katherine Langford (Hannah from 13 Reasons Why) Preservation: Mark Ruffalo Ruin: Jake Gyllenhaal The Citizen: Tom Hiddleston Beldre: Scarlett Johansen Yomen: Nathan Filion (Mal from Firefly) OreSeur and TenSoon: James Marsters (Spike from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel)

Spren of Kindness
I don't know why, but Breeze needs to be British (please not Tom Hiddleston or Benedict Cumberbatch though). Maisie Williams as Vin. Chris Pine or David Wenham as Kelsier The Rock as Ham, if Stormlight doesn't get him first. Daniel Radcliffe as Zane Benedict Cumberbatch as Straff Venture Daisy Ridley or Sofia Boutella as Shan Elariel John Boyega or The Rock as Sazed. Adam Driver as The Lord Ruler? (Mostly kidding. But he might do a good job.)
