Very good questions @That1Cellist That question crossed my mind when I was 16 years old (I am now 17) and I came to the conclusion, why reject it? We just live, as Descartes said if you think you exist, I think the only way to accept our own existence is to live the best way we can, if you don't accept it change it because if you continue like that everything will be sad and boring. I believe that our personality changes continuously, the human being evolves and not slowly over the centuries, but also one's personality changes from birth to death. Mortality is always a trivial subject, but to me it has always seemed the most natural thing, to make us realise that we are not God, that our life is ending and that we have to live it in the best possible way.
