A girl of around 15 with a spider monkey perched atop her shoulder strode up to the inn. “Hi,” she said brightly, proffering her hand. “I’m Azra, nice to meet you, and all that. I don’t suppose you have a room going spare? Everywhere else is full, you see. Oh, this is Iyin, my monkey, I hope you don’t mind him. He’s very well behaved, I promise.”

I assume she's proffering her hand to Fadran?

The man politely moved aside to let the girl with the monkey come in. He frowns at the terrified boy.

"Don't be afraid of Lightning," he said. "He won't hurt you. Right, Lightning?" The dragon snorted, and a small puff of smoke went out of his nostril.

"Don't let that worry you, he's very good at controlling his fire."

The boy did not speak, or even nod or shake his head. He looked into the man's eyes, fear being replaced by a peculiar curiosity. Their color seemed to shift as the boy straightened his stance.

Azra jumped at the stranger, but swiftly recovered her composure. “Hi, nice to meet you! I’m Azra; this is Iyin. What’s your name? I’m sure we’ll be the best of friends!”

She wondered whether she had perhaps overdone it a little in the face of such a disconcerting method of arrival, but quickly dismissed the thought.

A new world appeared in Bookwyrm's sense.

Might as well-

A sudden warping in the air in front of the Mishmash Inn appeared, and Bookwyrm stumbled from it.

....What was that?

"How should I know?" Windaphra said. The honorspren flitted up to him in the form of a young woman in an intricately laced tunic.

Bookwyrm gave her a flat look. "I wasn't talking to you..."

She shrugged.

Bookwyrm sighed as he walked up the steps to the inn. When he opened the door, he saw a large group of travelers. They were varied in appearance, clothing, and company. One of them had a dragon.

Good to know I won't be the only one with a dragon...Bookwyrm thought, though both of his were currently resting. Inside his soul. It's kind of complicated.

Windaphra turned into a ribbon of light and began exploring the nooks and crannies of the room as Bookwyrm walked up to the group. His appearance wasn't anything extravagant. He looked like a young man, perhaps in his late teenage or early adult years, with a mop of neat brown hair and blue glasses. He wore a sturdy blue travelling tunic with a leather belt, to which was tied a variety of pouches and a mysterious sword. Over that, he had a deep blue cloak patterned like the night sky, and held a strange staff in his right hand.

Bookwyrm slowly walked up to the group, but didn't introduce himself.

A small boy bear-crawled in on all fours. He was dressed in rags--oddly brightly-colored rags, seeming less like rags and more like nice fabrics ripped up. Almost as though he was a prince trying to look like a peasant. He had dark, painful-looking bruises on his face, bruises that seemed like they'd warrant swelling, but his face looked completely normal save the discoloration.

Galard jumped at the people coming in from odd portals. He tried to relax. This was... Expected, I guess.

He kept waiting for their host to appear.

Well, I don't want to, but...

He can't do dragons? Because Lightning is pretty big.

A young girl in a cloak, seeming about 15, steps forward out of the shadows. There’s no telling how long she’s been standing there. She flips a knife out of her sleeve and studies it, hoping it’ll keep the multitude of people back. What a strange place.

Bookwyrm glanced around the room. More people were arriving...

Windaphra flitted back to him.

"Find anything?" he said to her.

"No," she replied. "Nothing of note. Seems like a fairly normal inn...besides, you know..."

Bookwyrm nodded. "A strange pocket dimension indeed."

Bookwyrm angled his way to the edge of the room, trying to circumnavigate to the front. As he did, he passed by a young girl in a dark cloak. She held a knife in her hand and seemed to be studying it.

The girl—called Rayvyn by her people—eyed him. He seems…human enough. She stared at him. Usually her pale purple eyes kept people away, if the knife didn’t.

Bookwyrm caught the gaze of the strange girl. A thread of information tickled his mind, granted by his ability...

Rayvyn. A name.

He didn't use the name. Revealing his (admittedly extremely limited) omnipotence was not a good way to make friends here. Or anywhere.

Then again, in this world, his Allsight was dampened more than normal. The wills of too many important souls are gathered, he realized. The past and future aren't solid. I can't see them.

Instead of addressing the girl, he smiled slightly and gave a friendly nod, then continued on his way.

I guess if she wants to say something to me, she will...and if not, then that's that.

Rayvyn watched him pass suspiciously. He’s not humans, she decided. I would be surprised if any of them are completely human. She stepped back into the shadows, observing where she couldn’t be observed.

Bookwyrm continued on his way, looking for whoever was in charge. He neared the front of the room, where there stood a man, a younger girl with a spider monkey, a mysterious small boy, and a figure that exuded a sense of ancientness.

Yes, I know I'm throwing myself in here, but how else am I going to get character interaction?

Okay, so I'm the little boy that's bear-crawling(named Gone). He's not the type to engage someone else in conversation, so... could someone else talk to him so that he can have interaction? If someone does the  "That's not a suitable name for someone like you, you need a new one" eventually, that would be cute. Ideas.
