morcey2
Hi, everyone. Greetings from Central Utah. I think I've listened to all of the available Cosmere novels/novellas/short stories that are available. I only own Dawnshard in dead-tree form but I think I need to get the printed texts for ease of research. I'm an avid reader, but I rarely read any fiction. I have read lots of technical and religious books. I'm a software engineer and one of my duties at work is to do lots of research and reading to understand new technologies and pass that on to the rest of the team. Fiction wise, I've listened to the full Harry Potter series (none of the Fantastic beasts stuff, yet), The Lord of the rings, the Silmarillion, and all the Cosmere texts available on Audible. And Never Sniff a Gift Fish by Patrick F. McManus. If you're an outdoorsy type person (camping, hunting, fishing), you'll appreciate that one. I'm sure I've missed some stuff because I've only listened to them. I'm a software engineer by trade, but I also work on cars and build guitar amps although I haven't built an amp in quite a while. My favorite POV character is probably Dalinar. I lost my wife about a year before I started listening to WoK, my first Sanderson book. It was about the time I had started dating my "chapter 2" (current wife) who was also widowed and so the Dalinar-Navani storyline hit very close to home for me. My favorite non-POV character is probably Ham. At least I don't think he's had any POV-time. I say "probably" in both cases because it does seem to change. And of course, Hoid. He's just Hoid. Everyone's favorite. Anyway, glad to be here. Matt
