So I've been writing the backstory for a cool RP character of mine (Ayia, if you're in the know), and a little while back it came to my attention that I had no idea how her powers worked. For those of y'all who don't know, Ayia's got these metal staffs that she can "Stabilize" to hold them into any position, whether that be setting them perfectly upright, floating in midair, or shoved into someone's face. She's got a few other things--a magical cable that she can yeet at things and ride across, and a bracelet that maintains a small pocket dimension--but the staffs are her primary tool. Anyways, those weren't exactly well-developed, and now I'm paying for it. After much consideration, I'd decided that her powers (as well as the other wizards in her world) would have the ability to enchant items with magical properties. This would be via some hard, logical, almost mathematical sequences: I'm thinking full-on equations scrawled through spellbooks and magic circles inlaid with runes. Here's the problem: Writing-wise, I can go from there. Throwing some vague this-and-that into the mix would certainly make it plottable. However, I'm an overachiever and really want to come up with a system that I could actually map out. Basically, I want to be able to calculate any possible magical item myself. So... H E L P
