Welcome one and all to the grand Riddle Thread! Here, Sharders will think, ponder, mull, meditate, brew, contemplate, dwell on, puzzle, speculate... *looks up from thesaurus* Well, you get the idea. This thread is going to make you think hard. The rules of the forum game are as follows: -One person posts a riddle at a time. I’m not talking about corny jokes or puns, I mean actual head scratchers that get you thinking. -Depending on the riddle-giver’s preference, you may be allowed to ask yes or no questions about the answer (this is especially recommended for riddles that don’t have a clear answer/a story behind the answer where it is necessary for the solvers to piece together what has happened). -Try not to make the riddle too math based. -Once somebody solves the riddle, it is their turn to give a riddle. -Keep it fun, clean, and original (no repeated riddles). I’ll go first: Two bodies have I, though both joined in one. The more still I stand, the quicker I run. What am I?

I heard some people quoting "hamiltrash" over in the 'I'm so exited and I just can't hide it' thread. It sounded like improvised poetry to me, one person responding to the others rhymes, so I decided to try it out in this thread. The rules are simple, finish the poem in the previous post, then write about half of a new poem. If you guys get bored of poetry, it could develop into a riddle thread. Ask a riddle, see who gets the answer right. The person to get it right posts the next riddle. Let's see how long this thread survives, shall we? To start you off: With fire and brimstone, I rain from the sky,

"Very well," said Bilbo, who was anxious to agree, until he found out more about the creature, whether he was quite alone, whether he was fierce or hungry, and whether he was a friend of the goblins. "You ask first," he said, because he had not had time to think of a riddle. So Gollum hissed: This game is simple. Someone asks riddle. Someone answers riddle. That person asks riddle. I'll start. Round she is, yet looks flat as a board, Altar of the Lupine Lords, Jewel on black velvet, pearl in the sea, Never changing but everturning, eternally.
