First, apologies if there's a better forum this could've gone into! With the Stormlight miniatures Kickstarter closing today, I'm wondering how many people here will be picking up this great hobby for the first time! Is there a desire/need for how-to information for beginners and things to watch out for? There's already a ton of information out there, but I'm more than happy to share what I know if it will be helpful to people. I've been painting minis off and on since the late 90's and pretty seriously since last summer. I've tried most of the techniques and products available and if it will be helpful to people, I can try to compile it all!

Hi, I'm Vianki! Been reading/lurking a while. Decided to post because I'd like to challenge myself to share my art. Here's the first WoK scene I've painted. I'll upload it to the gallery too, but I thought it would make for a good intro. It's Syl fighting death spren on Kaladin's chest, from his perspective.

"Painted by Alwin Theroux, this work depicts what the Ascendant Warrior must have seen from on high as she fought to preserve the world in the days before the Catacendre. Although considered somewhat controversial, as religious subject matter has usually been confined to the churches, and then generally very traditional depictions of church history, this new impressionist work by Theroux has attracted many viewers, and can be seen during general business hours at the Museum of Modern Art in downtown Elendel." - Hey guys. I'm Heather and I made this 'painting'. It's actually all digital, and I created it with a program called Chaotica. I love Mistborn, and I've been a Sanderson fan since Elantris first came out.
