  1. Calling all Willshapers! I noticed there was no group for Willshapers. that was sad bc I am of this order. I hope to find others. I AM A STICK! Just-A-Stick- Callsign: Whiplash
  2. Hello all. If this has been discussed before forgive the redundancy. So thinking about the Double Eye of the Almighty and of course the lines between the orders it occurred to me that if you removed the Bondsmiths and Truthwatchers you get a chart of something like this. I am interested in feedback and critiques. Thanks all. P.S. Please note the opposite corners.
  3. Note: I am a bit new to this, if there was already a discussion on this please send a link So I was re-reading Oathbringer today and had a sudden realisation that we dont know all of the Orders Surges. all we really know are the surges of those in the book, and we dont know some of the second surges (eg. Lightweaver has the surges of Illusion and Transformation, but what about Dustbringers?) What I have been able to peice together (Note: I did this earlier in like 15 mins, so If you see something wrong please tell me) Windrunner: Surges of Gravitation and -(Not sure) Lightweaver: Surges of Illumination and Transformation Edgedancer: Surges of Transportation and -(Not sure) Dustbringer: Surges of Division and -(Not sure) Skybreaker: Surges of Gravitation and Division Bondsmith: Do they even have surges? are they just all of them? So basically any theories, etc.? Also if someone has all of the Orders Glyphs that would be great
  4. Had a out there thought. We have seen how shardblades can 'mist' when going through living tissue. In essence de-cohering. And Parshendi have smoke form. What if Willshapers can also affect themselves, rather than just their environment? De-cohere as they are about to be attcked? Possible?
  5. Bondsmiths: Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen, Jaime Lannister. Windrunners: Ned Stark, Rob Stark,Caitlyn Stark, the Blackfish , Brienne. Lightweavers: Sansa Stark, Varus the spider, Cierse Lannister. Truthwatchers: Samwell Tarly, Marwyn the mage. Dustbringers: Arya Stark, the Hound, Stone heart, Robert Baratheon, Gendry Baratheon. Skybreakers: Mormont, Lord Commander Momont, Stannis, the onion knight. Elsecallers: Brandon Stark, Tyrion Lannister, the red woman. Edgedancers: Dondarrion, Thoros of myr. Willshapers: The Red Viper, Tommen Baratheon, Rickard Stark. Stonewards: Ser Barristan Selmy. Any thoughts?

  7. OKAY! so a while ago i left a comment on a discussion missing spren which was about why akwardness doesn't have a spren and I said that they were radiant spren but they all died in the recreance, but then I got to thinking and I made an order with surges and everything! Order: Internal screamers Nahel bond: awkward spren (attracts shame spren) Surges: Teleportation, Tension Shard blades: Since the akward spren don't want to be seen they appear as daggers, the type of weapon a spy would use Resonance: being unseen and hating crowds because people are the WORST sooooooo...yeah! do you guys have any order ideas? ideas about orders that have been posted?
  8. Now, I know there have been multiple threads with this topic, but I haven't found one that just talks specifically about the spree. So here, now that we have seen ten different kinds of salient spree, I thought it would be nice to try to match them up. I will be listing the Order, Spren (My best guess), the mascot spren, and the underlying principle they personify. Here we go: Windrunners: Honorspren Windspren Honor Lightweavers: Liespren/Cryptics Creationspren The underlying mathematics and numbers of the world Elsecallers: Inkspren Logicspren Knowledge? (If ink represents words) Bondsmiths: Superspren Gloryspren (At least for the Stormfather one) Roshar? (Going by the theory of Growing/Sky/Sea/Earth/etc.) Releasers: Ashspren Firespren? (Someone else's theory I have mixed feelings about) Ruin/Destruction (Makes logical sense) Skybreakers: Highspren Starspren? (It sounds viable) Morals/Ethics/Law/Justice? Stonewards: Stonespren/Foundationspren/Earthspren (Based on Shadesmar description) ? ? Edgedancers: Cultivationspren Lifespren Cultivation Truthwatchers: ???? ? ? Willshapers: Likely Lightspren, but not quite confirmed ? Mystery? (I don't know, I'm reaching here)
  9. Hi everyone, I am hoping that I can get some help filling in this chart with either facts or educated guesses or wild speculative guesses. Corrections are also welcome. This post assumes that related but lesser spren become shardplate (e.g. Syl’s cousins, the wind spren, become Windrunner shardplate). However, the comments about Jasnah and Dalinar have me wondering. Note 1, does the following refer to Jasnah's potential shardplate? That makes it sound like Cryptics are her shardplate? I am sure this is not right but would love other explanations. Note 2, doe the following refer to Dalinar's shardplate? If so, are these lightspren? Is there some sort of non-evil stormlight spren? Is this the same light as: Channeling my inner Pattern, both truth and lies in response to this would be appreciated.
  10. What odd or interesting (or humorous) names could you make up for orders of knights radiant? thingpoker - they would go around poking things all day foodtaster - no idea what they would do windrunner + edgedancer = winddancer bondsmith + skybreaker = bondbreaker (downright genius this one is. kinda seems to defeat the purpose though.)
  11. I have been thinking about this myself a lot lately so I wanna see what everyone else thinks. What are the Orders that everyone is most interested in, likes, or anticipates learning about the most? Feel free to discuss why and even bring up more than one if you'd like! 1. Windrunners 2. Skybreakers 3. Dustbringers 4. Edgedancers 5. Truthwatchers 6. Lightweavers 7. Elsecallers 8. Willshapers 9. Stonewards 10. Bondsmiths I am personally very interested in the Stonewards the more I looking into all the theories surrounding stones, the Shin Stone Shamans, Talenel'Elin, the Ancient of Stones, the Thunderclasts, Stones Unhallowed, etc. I even saw that Brandon had signed someone's book with a rough conceptualization of an untold ideal which was, "I will stand when others fall." That sounds very Stoneward-esque to me considering that they were supposed to be as steadfast as Taln, as well as their focus on strength. I also believe they are the one Order that did not betray their spren during the Recreance. Let me know what you all think!
  12. Please Note: The following is all speculation, and not necessarily correct. I could not help noticing that a number of people with the same surges seemed to have similar personalities. I'm not sure whether this has been discussed before, but here is my theory. Orders with a type of Surge in it will be attracted to a kind of personality. I have a few examples. Windrunners/ Skybreakers: Shared Surge = Gravitation Both the Windrunners and the Skybreakers seem to feel the need to uphold what they believe to be right. In the Windrunners case, it is their own personal ethics, while in the Skybreakers case, it is the law they attempt to uphold. This could be why their is anger between them, as when their beliefs conflict, both sides will feel the need to uphold their own belief. Lightweavers and Elsecallers: Shared Surge = Soulcasting Shallan Davar and Jasnah Kholin both have a keen interest in the scholarly arts. This is probably just due to a co-incedence, but what if the spren associated with Soulcasting are attracted to scholarly figures in the same way creationspren are attracted to Shallan when she creates an artwork?
  13. On the ten Essences chart on the Coppermind, There are 7 things associated with each other. Number, Gemstone, Essence, Body Focus, Soulcasting Properties, Divine Attributes, Herald. I believe there should be more. Due to the Holy number of Vorin tradition and Roshar, 10, a chart like this would have 10 Categories or Columns during the Days of the KR. 10 by 10. This chart was made in World by the Ars Arcanum Author (Khriss?) so it can be Wrong. I think we can add the specific Order of the KR onto the chart, matched to their Herald, as well as the Silver Kingdom. This way, the Chart would be More Holy, and probably closer to the in-world version. So for Number 2, Nale's row, we could add Skybreakers and Natanatan. This still leaves one more Column, unless you count the Divine attributes as two, bu t I don't think that's likely. The Capitols of each Silver kingdom could Work, or the Spren of the KR. (I'm assuming that each of the Silver kingdoms also had a specific Herald more so than others. I'm guessing Natanatan because it sounds closest to Nale.) And I apologize if someone had proposed this before, but I coulnd't find anything like it.
  14. The chart that Issac Stewert created, showing the ten orders of Knights Radiant and the ten surges shows lines connecting the various glyphs. Below I have a picture with the lines highlighted in different colors: Green = Surges for each of the different orders Blue and Orange = A "racetrack" type of organization for Orders and Surges respectively - - (Although, I'm not sure. If that were the case why not keep all the Orders on the outside, and Surges on the inside? If it were rearranged that way it would look like a wheel with the red lines becoming the spokes.) Red = ...No idea. Decoration perhaps? Anyone have any thoughts on this?
  15. Newest set of profile icons featuring each of the Knights Radiant's glyph inscribed on their respective gemstones. You can download any of these files for your personal profile in addition to a number of other glyphs by clicking HERE. There are a few alternate versions of the gemstones as well.
  16. http://coppermind.net/w/images/TWoK_Front_Endsheet.jpg I'm sure this has been discussed but I didn't find anything. We know that each of the large circles represents an Order of Knights Radiant, and the small circles represent surges. The links between Orders and surges show which 2 surges the Knights of those Order can access. But each Order is also linked to three other Orders. Does anyone know why?
