Some of you may know I’m working on a novel, I’ve been very blatant in all my posts about it (I’m sorry for that btw, I just have no other creative ppl to talk to). Anyway, I’m creating a language for my book because from listening to writing excuses I realized I can’t outright use Japanese in my book for MANY reasons, no matter how much I know and study the language. I settled for using the alphabet to create a similar feel, but I’m not sure if using the same particles is wise. More over, I’m having trouble coming up with words that I feel fit. I’m even going so far as to create my own kanji. If you fantastic folk have any tips, recommendations, or any advice at all, then I’d love to hear it. I have my first draft done and I’m looking to have my language done soon so I can get it in the second draft before August rolls around

This is basically a club for people who like languages and are interested in them and writing systems! This can also be a club to share languages/writing systems we’ve created. This is a language experiment similar to Viossa, if you've heard of that. The experiment shall entail several individuals each speaking a different language while trying to reach common understanding. Quick observation... @BeskarKomrk made a redirect page for "Dynastic" and I was going to add the Language category (Culture also?). Well, I realized that there are a lot of cases where these categories seem to be missing. Particularly on Roshar, where there are lots of languages mentioned. For example, Alethi, Thaylen, Shin, Unkalaki, etc. Is there a reason for this, or would it be good to update these with [[Category: Culture]] and [[Category: Language]]?

So, I've been going over multiple different threads and I've seen people saying they speak Swedish. I've been studying it on a language program called Duolingo, and so I was wondering, maybe we could get a thread together for people who talar Svenska? (note: I do not speak very good Swedish and will likely be full of gramatical errors. Probably sprinkled in with some English as well.)
