  1. Re-reading Alcatraz, on book 3, noticed this: "I blushed. It now seemed silly. 'I figured... well I thought if I could break Gravity, then I could fly.' Grandpa Smedry chuckled quietly. 'Break Gravity, eh? Very bold of you... a very Smedry-like attempt, but a bit beyond even the scope of your power, I'd say. Imagine the Chaos if Gravity stopped working all over the world!' I don't have to imagine it. I've lived it. But we'll get to that. Eventually." Welp. Spoilers (Books 5 and 6) And in book 2, we learn that the worldspire reaches all the way down to the center of the earth, which is made of glass. Hypothetically, what would happen if someone or something were to break the core of the Earth? how would that affect gravity? EDIT: Also from book 2: they regard me as their savior, but I only fixed what I broke in the first place. (loosely paraphrased)
  2. Hello! While I was doing scripture study, (I'm LDS) something huge hit me! I realized that in Doctrine and Covenants 130, it has a lot of things that are extremely reminiscent of things seen in Oathbringer. For example, it mentions in verse seven a "sea of glass and fire." This sounds exactly like the cognitive realm, where the sea was made of glass beads (objects) and fire (souls). This was very peculiar to me, but connections go even deeper. Take verse eight for instance "The place where God resides is a great Urim and Thummim" In Hebrew, Urim and Thummim means "light and perfections." This blew my mind, because the spiritual realm is where stormlight comes from and where everything is the perfect version of itself. These are the only connections I've made so far, but I think there might be more. I really like this stuff and it gets me really excited! Does anyone else have any ideas about other connections to LDS or thoughts?
  3. So I found a cool picture on like of some Mistborn glass knives and showed them to my friend. He thought looked cool but that the blades of the knives were the wrong colour (they were clear glass). He thought they should be black (obsidian). This sparked a dumb argument and we now want a definitive answer. Are all Mistborn knives obsidian or are there some obsidian ones and some glass ones? Please settle this stupid fight.
