  1. I may not be the first to mention this, but I have somewhat of a theory concerning a certain Dysian Aimian character we meet in Edgedancer. This almost feels stupid to mention, because of how obvious it feels, but I'll say it anyway: I believe that Arclo, the Sleepless Dysian Aimian who Lift met, is the one who is speaking on the back covers of The Way of Kings and Words of Radiance. This is evidenced by the reader of the covers making indirect references to the main characters of the series, i.e. "The Liar" (Shallan), "The Surgeon" (Kaladin), "The Highprince" (Dalinar), and "The Assassin" (Szeth). He refers to them as the "four who we watch". Arclo says something very similar to that to Lift when talking to her about being a Radiant. Also, the back cover of The Way of Kings begins with the words "I long for the days before the Last Desolation". To me, that sounds like the tone of a person who was alive before the Last Desolation and has happy memories of it. In Edgedancer, Arclo talks to Lift about having known and befriended ancient Knights Radiant, as well as refers to the time before the Last Desolation of being wonderful, honorable days. Arclo speaks the words and speaks with even the same tone as the reader of the back covers, leading me to believe that the ancient Sleepless who goes by Arclo is the one speaking the back covers of the Stormlight Archive. What do you all think?
  2. So guys, I wasn't sure where to ask this so I'll just put it here. I'd really like to hang a few Cosmere related posters up in my bedroom. The thing is, I cant find any store or site that sell them. Sure there are a handful of posters on Brandon's site and I've checked them out but does anyone know any sites with more variety? Thanks for your time guys
  3. Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell is a short cosmere novella that originally appeared in the George R. R. Martin anthology, Dangerous Women. Now, Dangerous Women is excellent and you really get your money's worth (it's huge), but if you haven't picked it up, you can now get Shadows for Silence individually on the Kindle store. I can't find this on other ebook sites--though you can find Dangerous Women on ebook--but I presume it will be coming soon. The date this Amazon entry was made was March 3rd, so it was very soon. Maybe we are getting the cat out of the bag a little early... But guys, look at this spectacular, spectacular cover for this ebook. I want to buy it as a gigantic poster, please. Isn't it great looking? (View it in its high resolution glory.) As for the novella itself, Shadows for Silence occurs on a minor Shardworld called Threnody, which we've never seen before. But it is worth your read. Even considering how excellent Brandon is at worldbuilding, I would say Shadows for Silence is the most atmospheric thing he's written. It's so haunting, it's magnificent. As his novellas go, I'd say it is only topped by the Emperor's Soul. Shadows for Silence is wonderful and definitely worth picking up.
