  1. QF41: The Lord Mistborn's School for Gifted Allomancers “Welcome to the Lord Mistborn’s School for Gifted Allomancers! Unfortunately, well, this is a bit embarrassing, but one of our students in a prank went and destroyed all our records. So, we have no idea which of you are qualified to enter our school, and which are not. But not to worry! We’ve come up with an ingenious solution. There are always some of those who seek to enter our school through any means possible, no matter how… distasteful. Normally, we can weed them out fairly effectively, but… well, their records were destroyed along with everything else. However, I'm sure that those of you who are true Allomancers will have no trouble discovering and stopping those brutes. As for the rest of you… well. Feel free to leave any time, knowing that you’re automatically disqualifying yourself from entry to our school. I think that’s it. Good luck and may the Survivor protect you!” Rules: This is a blackout game. Each Role in the game has multiple Types. Players with a Role are only informed of their Role, not their Type. There is a lynch every cycle, and the players with the most votes at the end of the cycle will be banished from the school. Players lynched by plurality will have their alignment and role revealed - and only those lynched by a majority of players will additionally have their Type revealed. In the event of a tie, both players are lynched. There are two confirmed alignments at the beginning of the game: the Prospective Students and the Determined Thugs. The Prospective Students goal is to banish all the Determined Thugs, and can take part in the lynch to achieve their goal. The Determined Thugs begin with a doc, and have to be able to control the lynch to win - they have the ability to perform a kill each cycle to allow them to do that. You will be banished from the school if you fail to post two cycles in a row. The game will begin on Monday, December 2nd, at 1:00pm AEST. 2. MR30 - Scadrian Black Ops Kasheron Station. It was a beautiful glittering wheel in the bright sunlight, slowly rotating around the central spindle with its massive linear particle accelerator - the peak of Scadrian technological innovation. Here, at the Scadrial-Sun L1 point, a constellation of refueling stations, repair facilities, and smaller science lab stations that required experimental conditions that Kasheron could not provide floated in the silence of deep space. On a normal day, the space near the station would be littered with the glowing main engines of dozens of starships coming in to dock at one of the many stations. This was anything but a normal day. The wreckage lay scattered across the void, twisted metal and plastics drifting away from the massive spinning station to find their own new orbits around Scadrial's sun. The station still rotated, wounded but not destroyed. Three full habitat modules had been blasted away from the exterior of the ring, shredded into pieces by the force of the explosion, and seven more had been damaged. Today, the dozens of starships collected refugees and survivors from the habitat modules who now no longer had a home on the station. With life support on the remaining habitat modules strained to support the whole population of the station, all ships in the area were emergency rerouted to start ferrying refugees back down a gravity well, or at least to Scadrial's massive ecosystem of orbital habitats and stations. It is to one of these ships - unremarkable to the naked eye - that we now turn our attention. It is a small ship, as such things are reckoned, scarcely one hundred meters from end to end, but it's solar sails stretch out nearly a kilometer in either direction. Normally, this is a luxury transport, bringing head scientists, politicians, and business magnates to conduct their lucrative business aboard Kasheron station. Today, it is just another glorified passenger liner, filled to it's life support capacity with a teeming mass of refugees, on their way to somewhere marginally more safe than the wounded behemoth. But no everybody on this transport is what they seem. Secrets abound on Kasheron station, and some are dangerous enough to kill for. --------------------------------------------------- Hello, and welcome to MR30 - Scadrian Black Ops! This game will be a blackout game, with all of the game-relevant information unknown to players. This will also be an anonymous game, where players will be assigned one of the anonymous accounts designated for SE use, and will be able to participate without anyone knowing their identity. However, unlike the Anniversary Game, this game will primarily be using the anonymous accounts to facilitate a new, experimental mechanic that will allow some roles to swap accounts with another player. Anonymity is a secondary concern to the new mechanic. As such, prospective players may sign up directly in the thread. If you wish to sign up anonymously, please send a PM to Fifth Scholar and I in the format MR30: Signup Request. Otherwise, post in the thread to sign up as normal. This game will have its player count restricted to 14 players. As such, if you find yourself interested in this game, but worried about whether or not you will be able to remain active, please consider leaving places open for players who will have time to remain active. Any players who sign up in excess of the 14 players there are slots for will be put in a pinch-hitter list. Signups will last until Monday, July 9. The countdown will use midnight, Mountain Daylight Time as a placeholder time until I figure out what time rollover will be best suited for. Reminder: Rules for Anonymous Accounts: At the start of the game, you will be issued an anonymous account. There are a number of rules associated with the use of an Anonymous Account. Please follow them carefully. Given the potential for abuse of Anonymous Accounts, any rule breaking using the accounts will be dealt with harshly. 1) Do not change the password of the anonymous account you are issued. Orlok, Fifth and I will have access to all anonymous accounts for the duration of the game. 2) Do not use the anonymous accounts to PM any non-anonymous account, other than the accounts of the GMs. Please do not use your normal accounts to PM anonymous accounts. 3) Do not change anything cosmetic about the accounts, including member title, username, signature, and avatar. 4) Do not reveal your identity or explicitly claim to be another player. 3. MR24: Baleful Eye Mirialis was a large city, as far as cities went in the Fractured States. It had another name before Calamity, of course. But after the Capitulation Act, when the High Epics began to carve their own little empires out of what had been the American Heartland, things had changed. A lot. Steelheart ruled in Newcago. Regalia in Babilar. Perseus in Persepolis. Lightwards in his Empire of Light. In Mirialis, that meant Balelight. She was an elusive figure, even in the city she ruled. She made sporadic public appearances, in her impressive uniform and demonstrating her Epic powers that could blast a man dead at half a mile away, or burn an office tower to nothing in mere minutes. But nobody saw her outside of those appearances. Her lieutenants, many of them powerful Epics in their own right, did the same thing. Anonymity was the rule of the game in Mirialis. Of course, that meant that anyone you met on the street could be a powerful Epic, the upholders of stability in a land that had fallen into chaos, in disguise. Or they could be a subversive dissident intent on undermining the rightful order of things. Or, from another point of view, anyone you met on the street could be a fanatical informant serving the brutal and oppressive regime, or a valiant freedom fighter attempting to bring the criminal rulers of the city to justice. Points of view were tricky that way. Push them just a little bit, and everything looked different. Either way you looked at it, talking to any of them could get you killed. Deliberately avoiding them probably would too. So the citizens of Mirialis went about their daily business in silence. Fearful deference to each other was the standard approach to whatever interaction could not be avoided. So it had been for ten long years since Calamity appeared. Hopefully it would stay that way. After all, living in fear was a sight better than not living at all. Welcome to MR24: Baleful Eye! This game will be co-GMed by Elbereth and I. This game is being run as a blackout game, sometimes also called a Closed Setup. For those who may not be familiar with the term, it means that there will be no information given about the available roles, abilities, or win conditions present in the game. Just a warning - this game, more than any others I've run, may not be balanced. I hope, however, that it will be fun. Expect shenanigans... No...seriously. I meant what I said. No information about the setup will be given. Even what the teams are called. *Sigh* You still here? Still not going to say anything. Nothing at all. You really want to know, don't you? Well then, I guess you'd better sign up and play! Signups for this game will last until Saturday, August 12 at 10:00 AM, Mountain Daylight Time. Cycles will be 48 hour combined Day/Night, and turnover time should be the same time as the end of signups. No guarantees, though. Player List: [REDACTED] - Paranoid King, person who specializes in collecting relics. Starshatter and Birdrider - Winter Devotion, star crossed Australian runaways.
