I cant wait for Alcatraz Bastille VS The Evil Librarians: The Worldspire!!! But one question: what were the other Smedrys like Sing, Australia, Aydee, Quentin (especially, seeing how he's never appeared for an entire book since book 1.), etc, doing during book 5? I mean, I don't necessarily think they just sat there, twirling their thumbs. Alcatraz's message appeared on EVERY piece of glass. They probably didn't just do NOTHING.

All throughout the Alcatraz series we are told not to flip to the last page. The Letter is the reason why. (I just realized this. Brandon must have planned The Letter ever since the first novel. That tricksy librarian scum. )

So who noticed that the note at the end was signed "Bastille Smedry?" There've been hints before but it sounds like Bastille and Alcatraz get hitched. Assuming Alcatraz gets his Talent back at some point, can you imagine Bastille with the Breaking Talent? The mind shudders! (Incidentally, while I'm glad that they end up together, it prods at one of my pet peeves in writing. Like, the first person that the main character meets that's not related to his background ends up being his or her romantic interest. It happens a lot in movies/books and I'd like to see the main character get a bit more exposure to the world and its people first, you know?)

Okay, so I've gone through all five books now with no avail to my question. Why is Bastille's hair silver? It was mentioned in the first book that her natural color is red like her father and brother but Draulin also has silver hair too. I don't think it is a Knight of Crystallia thing because there was mention of a blond Knight of Crystallia in book 3 and the hair color for Archedus was never confirmed. Has anyone heard or asked anything about this?
