  1. Can you capture a radiant spren inside a gemstone, perhaps by using raysium? Would you be able to then use the gemstone containing the spren to then replicate the surges? If the spren was bonded to a radiant, could they still summon them as a shardblade, or use their surges?
  2. So I have a suspicion about the identity of the elusive spren of the Radiant order of Truthwatchers. In Edgedancer (about a page into chapter six), Lift’s Cultivationspren, Wyndle, mentions a type of spren known as Keenspren. Context: Lift was talking with a young street urchin, using all kinds of very strange words in odd ways. After the urchin leaves, Wyndle says: “Mistress, that was the strangest conversation I’ve ever heard, and I once grew an entire garden for some keenspren.” Truthwatcher’s spren are described as looking like “light reflected onto a surface through a crystal.” And Glys, Renarin’s corrupted spren, looks like a crystalline snowflake growing up from Renarin’s back. Many of the examples of corrupted spren we’ve seen were still recognizable as the type of spren they were. Keen means sharp, either in mind or as an edge, like a blade. I think this correlates well with what we’ve heard of the spren’s appearance in addition to the traditional personality attributed to the order of Truthwatchers. I would love to hear other suspicions about the Truthwatcherspren. This is a bit of a pet peeve of mine, so please share your thoughts on my theory!
  3. We all know that our favorite depressed Windrunner attracts a bunch of windspren while doing funky shenanigans. We also have this part in Edgedancer when Lift grows a tree and attracts an abnormal amount of lifespren. So then, are lifespren to cultivationspren the same as windspren to honorspren? There's a WoB out there that states that the windspren are relevant to the manifestation of Shardplate for Kaladin, could the same be said for Lift and lifespren? To me it makes sense because I don't think a Radiant spren has enough Investiture to manifest both as Blade and Plate, so they need some similar, lesser spren to form up Shardplate. So then would there be not one, but two types ofspren per Order? One for the Nahel Bond, and the other one attracted by the Knight's Surgebinding? For Lightweavers, my candidate would be creationspren, as we have multiple scenes in which Shallan draws for a while and attracts more creationspren than she had ever seen. A tentative one for Dustbringers would be flamespren, maybe? We haven't seen many of them in action though. For Bondsmiths, I would go with gloryspren, pretty obviously. And then there's that scene after the Battle of Thaylen City, when Jasnah is surrounded by geometric-looking spren. Anyway, this list could probably be extended a while, but I think we should pay attention to sequences where a Radiant attracts a lot of lesser spren, more than usual. Thoughts on my wacky, barely-founded theory?
  4. Is it possible for one of the fused to bond a radiant spren and become radiant? My main difficulty in answering this question for myself is a lack of underatanding of how the fused take over the body of the singer. When replacing the singer's soul does the fused accompany the gem heart? I originally thought this to be the case as the form of the fused is different, and singer forms are changed by spren in the gemheart. If this is how it indeed works, would not a fused be able to bond a spren as a radiant might? Surely there are ample cracks in their soul for the spren to fill as the more they resurrect the more their soul deteriorates. So surely a spren who hates humanity and wants to help the opposing side could bond a fused. Or perhaps even a fused who changes sides to fight for the humans could bond a radiant spren. Either way I'd like to hear what you all think regarding the possibility of such a bond.
  5. I thought the Reachers would be the Truthwatchers companion, but seeing evidence that Timbre is Ico's daughter I doubt they are. Other Radiant spren I've been able to guess (like ash spren for Dustbringers) but I haven't seen any to connect to the uncorrupted spren.
