Put possible spoilers because while I won't be saying anything specific, you might be able to make guesses base on things I'm going to say. Also, in the comments, mark spoilers for Hero of Ages. I just finished Well of Ascension and haven't started the last one yet. Anyway. You probably know this already, but Sanderson is a god of writing. It isn't easy for a book to catch me off guard. I have a knack for spotting plot twists and predicting endings, but the ending of WoA? Totally didn't see it coming and it was amazing. The last time that happened was when I read Rithmatist. This is the third book of Sanderson's I've read and I've already decided I have to read everything. I know I said not actual spoilers, but I'm on a roll, so there's your drop-down. I can't wait to see what happens in Hero of Ages! And I have the first of the Reckoners for when I finish that.

Greetings, everyone. The past couple of years, I have almost exclusively read non-fiction. This year, I needed an escape. I've always been interested in epic fantasies, but have been somewhat intimated by them and so have read very few - almost zero modern ones. In February, I finally decided to give The Way of Kings a try. And I put it down only when I absolutely had to. Finished the book, listened to a podcast, found out about something called the Cosmere and have since read Elantris, the Mistborn trilogy (goodness heavens, so beautiful), The Eleventh Metal, The Emperor's Soul, The Hope of Elantris, and started Warbreaker last night. I've greatly enjoyed each book/story. After Warbreaker, I'll be rereading The Way of Kings and then continuing the Stormlight Archive. Currently, I'm using a Reddit post to establish my reading order. Am I on the right track? So nice to find a community of people as obsessed as myself!

Okay, so I don’t know if this has been explained elsewhere or what but I’ve been wondering why in the Scadrial system the Shard’s impact can be seen in the Godmetals and the Mist but on Roshar it is in the form of Light, Tones, and Rhythms. What do you think is the reason behind this is? Also, would there be a Godmetal, Light/tone/rhythm, and maybe even type of breath (as breaths are little pieces of Endowment itself so are a reflection of its power (I think? Please correct me)) for each and every Shard? (And maybe the combination of all is Adonalisium’s Light? (in Roshar’s case)) So far I’ve assumed that that is just the natural form that Investiture takes in a given system but if that’s the case (it’s just natural) then why that form and not some other? Sorry if this seems a bit cluttered and messy or just plain stupid

My question is: can a compounder access the allomantic power of the metal they're burning simultaneously to the compounded feruchemal power. (example: I'm compounding a steel metalmind, burning it in my stomach, I'm going to be able to move fast [like a steel-runner] will I also be able to steel push metals? Can I use these powers separately if not?)

*Minor magic system spoilers for Stormlight Archive, no plot spoilers I've been re-reading Mistborn, and I'm curious whether feruchemical healing is fundamentally different from stormlight healing. Namely, if we ever saw a cross over between Metal-born and Radients, could a gold feruchemist heal an injury inflicted by a shardblade? Obviously feruchemy has to be stored fist, but assuming a feruchemist with infinite health storage, is the way they heal fundementaly different? Wayne mentions in passing that regrowing fingers is a pain in the but, but that means he can do it. This implies that gold healing can heal things that wouldn't normally heal with the passage of time. Healing in the Cosmere seems to be more that purely physical. In the real world, if you broke your arm and splint it incorrectly it could heal in the wrong position. This never happens in the books, implying that the power somehow knows what the "correct" position for everything is. I suspect that this is related to why shardblade wounds can be healed. My understanding is that shardblades sever the connection between your body and soul, but investiture healing is able to re-establish that connection. It is just difficult. -
What effects would a Mistborn gain if they burned the other God metals such as Raysium or say Honor's metal. If they were to say gain a connection and gain these metals, what effect would they gain?

Brandon's UK publisher, Gollancz, has officially revealed the UK cover for the finale of the Wax and Wayne series, The Lost Metal! As a reminder, the book releases November 15th in the UK and US (release dates in other regions and languages vary by publisher). Generally, hardcover, audiobook, and eBook are released at about the same time, and paperback a year later. The US cover has not yet been announced by Tor. Cover by Sam Green. (That's the highest quality that's been posted that I could find, sorry.) Additionally, the cover for the rerelease of the second Alcatraz vs the Evil Librarians book, The Scrivener's Bones, has also been revealed! The new edition is expected to come out July 5th. The concept for this is short story roleplay. I'll make a very short single quest idea, for instance, the first one is transporting a payload of silver across part of threnody. You come up with your player idea, something simple but dynamic without a large arc. I set up the plot and we start playing. When we're done with the first story, we go on to the next, each being very short. You could have a reoccurring character, or do a new one every time. Here's the basic summary of the plot, then a more in depth explanation: You have been hired! A small large shipment of silver is being transported from this very town to Boschester. It is expected to leave at the next Shaiday. Hey everyone! A couple of my buddies and myself are knee-deep in an off-the-wall Sanderson-inspired tabletop mini-series we've entitled MICEBORN! The title might give it away, but it is a Mistborn-themed adventure that has been lovingly mashed up with Redwall! It's only four episodes long and two of them have already dropped with the other two dropping on 5/18 and 5/25. Each episode is just under an hour so it's not a huge commitment, but we wanted to make any podcast listeners out there aware of this project.
