  1. Is it possible that one of Shallan's brothers betrayed her location to the Ghostbloods to buy them time/repay their debt? If they were capable of tracking Jasnah through something like a ship's manifest, why did it take them until the Wind's Pleasure to catch up to her?
  2. I've been thinking of Jasnah's future in SA 5 and the second arc, and I've come up with two main possibilities: 1. As the Queen of Alethkar, Jasnah reforms Alethi society. She mentioned wanting to replace the current government with something else in RoW (a constitutional monarchy seems most likely) and instituting other changes like abolishing the nahn and dahn systems. After doing all this, she steps down and does something else, perhaps worldhopping, since the surge of Transportation would make that possible for her. She does seem like someone who would want to explore the greater cosmere, especially with what Hoid has told her so far. 2. Jasnah becomes Odium. This theory is a bit more farfetched, but I've seen other people talk about this both here and on Reddit. She's the last flashback character, which (presumably) means that she'll have a large part to play in the back half. Also, in a WoB, Brandon says: Rayse says that Odium is more passion than hatred, and he gets consumed by that passion. However, Jasnah is shown to be stoic and levelheaded, with an iron grip on her emotions. This would make it much easier for her to tame Odium's Intent and use the passion for something that she has determined to be morally correct. Also, Ivory has said that she is more like a spren than a person and does not "change on simple whims," which might make her much more resistant to corruption under the influence of Odium. Of course, it's not a perfect solution, but I think Hoid would be hesitant to solve the Odium problem by outright Splintering him, so this seems possible. The two options are also not mutually exclusive---in the back half, Jasnah could reform Alethi society, step down, and then become Odium. Also, someone mentioned Splinters of Honor combining with Odium to form some kind of dual shard, which could also be a solution, but I feel like that would be too similar to Harmony for Brandon to do. What do you think?

  5. So, as halloween approaches, I have a very clear, set goal in mind: being Jasnah Kholin. However, there are a couple things that come in the way of that. Mostly because havahs aren't real. Does anyone have any ideas where I could buy or how to make one?

  7. OUR GIRL IS ACE, WE HAVE REP, WOOHOO This is a party thread of joy and positivity and celebration. Everyone's allowed to hang out here, but all "why did this have to happen" "ugh I don't care" and especially "I wish she wasn't a minority" or "well asexuality is stupid" type posts will be hidden. If you're not happy with Jasnah's orientation, romantic or sexual, then I suggest you stay off this thread. You're definitely allowed to wish she was another form of queer and headcanon her as that, but this thread will focus on her canon identity. I am creating an echo chamber of positivity and love. I'm going to request that RoW spoilers maybe not be gone into depth here, they'd be off-topic anyway but some of us haven't read all the chapters. Thank you! @The Awakened Salad @revelryintheart @MetaTerminal @The_Truthwatcher @Greywatch pinging all the ace frens I know, yell at me if you want to be left alone
  8. In WoK, before we know that Jasnah is a radiant, whenever Jasnah uses her Soulcaster, one of the gems had a chance to break (I think the smoakstone broke twice). Knowing that the Soulcaster was only a replication of a fabrial, why did the gemstones crack?
  9. I can't help but paint after reading a series that I adore, and of course, Jasnah Kholin, Queen of my heart, will always come first! There's no one I admire more.
  10. So, Jasnah's spren is an inkspren named Ivory, who when summoned appears to be a white Shardblade (at least, in all of the illustrations I could find), but when seen is a pitch-black figure. Is it a coincidence that his name and Shardblade color are white, while his namesake (inkspren) and physical appearance are black? There haven't been any other Elescallers that I have seen, so I don't' know if it has to do with the logical and scholarly nature of the Order, or does it just pertain to Jasnah?
  11. Jasnah Kholin, my bae uwu I have always imagined her looking a little intimidating, idk, but I kind of like it… still not very good at drawing digitally, so practicing with cosmere characters really motivates me… ;p
  12. I’m just curious, do we know what level of Radiant Jasnah is yet? We know she isn’t a full Radiant yet since she doesn’t have her armor or she presumably would have summoned it, and also because she clearly isn’t at her full potential when it comes to realm-hopping seeing as it took her over a year to get back from Shadesmar. But seeing how ludicrously overpowered she is in the Battle of Thaylen Field in terms of her Soulcasting even without her armor, it wouldn’t at all surprise me if she’s at least sworn her Fourth Ideal. Are there any WOBs addressing this? I wasn’t able to find any.
  13. I've seen quite a lot of good art from Oathbringer, but as I've been going through the book again there's a particular scene that I wish someone would draw. If anyone has seen it, please let me know where. I'd love to see it and thank the artist. It's times like this I wish I'd spent more time learning art. Also, are there any scenes you'd like to see? (I apologise if I misspelled any words. I listen to the audiobooks, which means I don't always know the spelling of places/people.)
  14. Just... What? I got so mad when the book ended without telling me about their conversation. And in Oathbringer, the conversation is further mentioned I think. On page 480, Jasnah tells Ivory that they must "reveal the information Wit told us." I just want to know what's happening! (Keep in mind I'm only halfway through Oathbringer, so if this comes up later...don't tell me about it.)
  15. So i tend to agree with some theorists proposing that the in book, book, Oathbringer is being written by jasnah. The line that stuck out the most was "I did not die. I experienced something worse." I believe she is referring to her attack on the wind's pleasure, and subsequent trip into the cognitive realm. We know from her first hand that she visited the highspren and their city during her travels there, but i think the perhaps she made another stop along the way. Possibly by choice, or perhaps by force or happenstance. I think jasnah visited braize in the cognitive realm, this is one of the things often referred to directly or obliquely as being worse than death. Damnation. This is only supposition which may be proved wrong on this upcoming tuesday, but i imagine that if jasnah was finally going to take a deep dive into the cognitive realm she would be compelled to have a better understanding of her enemy. Discuss.
  16. I've searched through the forum and haven't found any threads specifically discussing this, which is a little surprising. If such a thread exists and I missed it, I apologize. Now on to the topic. What's the deal with Aesudan Kholin, Elhokar's wife? In the WOR prologue, we learn that Jasnah was contemplating having Aesudan assassinated by Liss before changing her mind and having her merely spy on the queen for the time being. But why? what's so special about Aesudan? Who is she? What sort of threat does Jasnah believe her to pose to her family that she is willing to go as far as have her assassinated? Sure Aesudan, as shown in Lhan's interlude chapter in WOR, is definitely not a really good person nor a good ruler, throwing lavish parties and being excessive, wasteful and out of touch with and uncaring of the common people. All of this make her a terrible person but it's not enough to justify Jasnah's actions against her. Like Jasnah had to have been convinced that Aesudan was serious bad news for her family to even contemplate going as far as an assassination attempt. Not to mention Jasnah had this planned while Gavilar was still alive, so Aesudan wasn;t even queen then. There's also the fact that Bordin, said to be one of Dalinar's most trusted servants, had been left behind in Alethkar to spy on Aesudan, or at least this is what Mraize claims. If that's true then does that mean Dalinar shares at least some of Jasnah's suspicions regarding the queen? I highly doubt he knows about Liss and Jasnah's almost assassination attempt against Aesudan since I'm sure he wouldn't have approved of it. But both Dalinar and Jasnah must now something about Aesudan that warrants having people spy on her. And how do the Ghostbloods know about, for that matter how much do they know? Is Aesudan somehow connected to them? Or maybe she's associated with the Diagram or some other secret organization since Roshar seems to be crawling with them. I think it's pretty obvious that there's more to her but what? There's something else mentioned in the Lhan interlued that might also be relevant somehow: Why is that? What has she done or things she's done that led her to believe the Almight might be displeased with her? I don't have any concrete theories about this yet myself, gotta do a little more investigation, dig a little deeper, look for more hints and foreshadowings and things like that if there are any in the relevant chapters before forming one. But I figured I start this discussion here to see what you guys think and if any of you have any theories/ speculations of your own or know of any WOBs regarding this because this is something that has been on my mind since I finished WOR.
