    Day 15: tea

From the album: Cosmere Inktober 2022

Didn't someone say that the scribes drank tea to keep them energized? Anyhow, I think Shallan is definitely an avid tea drinker ^^ (also sorry about posting these last few kind of all at once, I thought i should do it now before I forget)

  13. Hello! I'm Axe, back at it again with another month of daily art. I'm a bit behind already, since I had no time on the first day, but by tomorrow I should be nice and caught up. For this challenge, I'm drawing a different scene for each prompt, following someone's adventure. I chose to draw a white wolf for this. Here's the prompt list if you want to follow along at all: The website won't let me upload my day one for some reason, so I'll try again tomorrow. Let's hope.
  14. Yep, we’re back. Kinda hard to believe that it’s been a year since I did last year’s Inktober; I know that I’ve improved in art and my inking since then, soooooooooooo.. yeah. For anyone at home that wants to know what prompt list I’m following, it’s the official one. Ima do my best to post one every single day, and yeah. You know the drill at this point. Let’s just get into it. Day 1: Gargoyle
  15. The fourth annual Cosmere Inktober is just around the corner, and we are excited to share the 2022 prompt list! If you are not familiar with Inktober, it was started as a challenge to practice inking and drawing habits over an entire month. This challenge is a personal journey for artists to follow set prompts and improve on drawing skills but has become a worldwide event with many different versions of prompt lists and themes. This year I have created a list of Cosmere-themed prompts and am posting it early to give fan-artists time to plan ahead! The rules are simple: Make a drawing in ink (or any medium you wish) Post it on social media (or on your fridge) Hashtag with #CosmereInktober2022 (you can also use #CosmereInktober and #CosmereInktober22) Repeat for 31 days! (or more?!) These prompts and rules are not set in stone, feel free to create whatever you wish! Take as long or as short as you want for your creation. In past years, we have seen ink drawings, paintings, digital art, calligraphy, and poetry; the possibilities are endless. Just have fun and join the Cosmere community in creating wonderful fanworks for our favorite books! Please also note, this year’s prompt list was designed to look like a broadsheet to celebrate The Last Metal coming out, but don’t feel compelled to only do Mistborn fanart. It is open to fanart of any of Brandon Sanderson’s works! Happy Drawing! -FelCandy
  16. Hi! I've been doing Inktober! I've mostly been doing the official prompts, but there's one that I opted to do the Cosmere prompt instead (Fallen) October 1: Crystal She has a crystal sword. And her foot is on a giant uncut crystal. Yeah! Dunno why the pictures are uploading sideways. Deal with it. October 2: Suit Cute penguin boi! He cute. I like. October 3: Vessel I'm really proud of this one. It's a vessel (boat) inside of a vessel (container of water) October 4: Fallen This is the one that I did Cosmere instead of the official one. It's just a falling/fallen flower. October 5: Raven I'm also really proud of this one. Those friggin feathers took FOREVER October 6: Spirit This is the most TERRIFYING art that I have EVER done. (There is blood and weapons so don't open the spoiler if you don't want to see that) October 7: Fan I'm...not proud of this one. At all. It looks SO bad. But oh well. October 8: Watch This one didn't take a while lot of effort but I still really like it. He v snazzy. October 9: Pressure Blobfish, the blobfish everyone thinks of, only look the way they do because they are PULLED UP FROM THEIR NATURAL HABITAT TO A PLACE WHERE THEY DON'T HAVE ENOUGH PRESSURE TO EXIST NORMALLY October 10: Pick This is one of the absolute cutest arts I've EVER done and it makes me asmjdjsjd every time I think about it. That's all I've got so far!!! Thanks
  17. Hello there! I was coerced into doing Inktober along with all the folks who can actually do art, so I guess you'll get to better appreciate their works by juxtaposition. I'm already eleven days late, and likely will find myself falling behind a few times, but that's okay! I'm also planning on writing on a bit of lore for each drawing. Maybe they'll be in the same universe or something; idk yet. Anyways, thanks for putting up with my scud! Enjoy!
  18. Welcome to the third annual official Cosmere Inktober, which begins October 1st. If you are unfamiliar with Inktober, it is a month-long drawing challenge that focuses on ink-based mediums, traditional and digital alike. Every day of October, people from around the world draw their interpretations of that day's prompt. This year we have a Cosmere-themed prompt list available a month early, to give those of you who would like to participate a chance to plan out your daily drawings. The official rules from the Inktober website are: Make a drawing in ink (you can do a pencil under-drawing if you want) Post it Hashtag it (we are using the hashtags #cosmereinktober, #cosmereinktober21, and #cosmereinktober2021) Repeat These rules are not set in stone, so if you want to use any art medium, go for it! If you don’t want to post your artwork, that is ok! You can do as few or as many of the prompts as your heart desires. The challenge is to be consistent and form good habits with your artwork. Make something beautiful! If you would like to browse some of last year’s Cosmere Inktober, here is a link to a collection on Instagram, though Tumblr and Twitter saw a decent number of submissions last year too.
  19. So I’m combining two sets of prompts for Inktober: the Cosmere one and the Assassins’ Creed one. For Day 1, Fly and Sisterhood, have Windrunner Maria Thorpe. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to my brown pen right now, so I couldn’t finish coloring her. I chose Maria because she was the first female Assassin we knew of (unless you played 2 first.) She was definitely the first we met, though she wasn’t an Assassin at the time! She’s also the only female Assassin I have that can fly... Hope you like her! (Anyone know how to turn the picture so it’s the right way?)
  20. Hello friends! I have tried inktober out a couple times in the past, though have been really bad at actually going through with it, but this year I am going to give it another whirl! I consider my artistry to be very poor, just as a warning before you venture any further onto this thread. I will do my best, but I am busy lifing, so... yeah Day 1: Fly In explanation of this wonderful and elegant piece, it is of late hours in my timezone and nearing midnight. I found myself realizing that I did not have the time to draw that which I had planned, so ended up drawing a literal fly. That's right, ladies and gentlemen, there is bound to be an actual fly, or fly like creature somewhere in the Cosmere. If not, that is simply a RIP. Here is my fly (his name is Fred):
  21. OH MY SHARDS IT'S ALREADY THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN. Y'all, in the past year I have come so storming far in my artwork. I've learned a ton about anatomy and proportions and I've gotten better at shading and faces and it's honestly really crazy to me. I am SO GLAD my friend convinced me to do the Inktober challenge last year, because it will be a great benchmark to compare this year to. I spent an insane amount of time prepping for this and I am on the edge of my seat for each and every drawing that I'll be presenting to y'all. One thing I'm doing slightly different this year: I had the idea to put some color in one of the drawings and then I realized it would be a ton of fun if I tried to colored one thing in each drawing. (Don't worry, it's still ink :P) So I really hope that works out (there will undoubtedly be a handful and a half that are completely black and white though and I am totally fine with that). Six or seven months ago I really started using markers in my art and I have since amassed over 60 different shades. They're ridiculously fun to art with. I also decided to base a lot more of my drawings on specific quotes. Some of those quotes are from non-canon Keyed stuff, some are from CBST, some are from TLT, some are from stuff that will be in the Keyed books, and some are from me just messing around. I am SO excited to kick things off tomorrow!!!! See ya then! - Star
  22. Yay, I've completed my first Inktober drawing! Ink is... a lot easier than I expected. I still have a lot to learn, but I am immensely happy with the way this is going so far! Here's for the prompt "ring" - Star's wedding ring around Marsh's linchpin spike. *sigh* Bittersweet...
