  1. Finished! Nine characters from eight Shardworlds! From left to right: Dusk from First of the Sun / Kaladin from Roshar / Vasher from Nalthis / Hoid from Yolen / Harmony (Sazed) / Khriss from Taldain / Shai from Sel / Vin from Scadrial / Silence from Threnody This piece is also celebratory art! Happy Chinese New Year 2016 (Year of the monkey)! At first I drew these characters mainly for an online fantasy magazine because they kind of let me (as translator of WoR) introduce Stormlight and the whole Cosmere series in their New Year issue, which meant I’d better add some festival stuff. So here it is - Characters from eight different Shardworlds wishing you a Happy New Year! In China, this is a popular traditional gesture when people give New Year’s greetings. It’s called 作揖 (zuò yī, in spoken language: zuō yī). When you do this, you make a bow with hands folded in front of you and greet others at the same time. Raise your folded hands and then lower them. The motion can be repeated several times. For men, they should use their left hand to cover their right hand (In ancient China, men tended to hold weapon with their right hand, so they covered it when saluting, to reduce hostility and show respect.), while for women, they should do it otherwise and it’s better not to clench the left hand into a fist (You can learn this from the picture above.). If you do it wrong, you will convey some ominous meaning. Please be careful # # # Heck, so many tags! Also seriously, I think we may need a Cosmere crossover art album
  2. I just saw this really interesting WoB that Dusk has had Herdazian food before. how could he have eaten herdazian food? all i could think of is that some of The Ones Above are herdazian and brought some of their food to First of the Sun. or he hasn’t actually eaten the food yet. Brandon has a Sixth of the Dusk sequel planned where Dusk explores the Cognitive Realm and maybe he met some people there who had Herdazian food? what do you guys think? terminon I asked Brandon to include some interesting larger-Cosmere-related tidbit about Dusk. Brandon Sanderson Dusk has had Herdazian food + hates it. General Signed Books 2016 (Jan. 24, 2016)
  3. Dusk returned from his field trip. The tower was done. As a matter of fact, the 50 meter tall wall around the base was done to. The lifless had also set up several thousand tents and sheds across the top, and had started turning the watchtower into more of a castle. Maybe telling them, "Finish this place" was to unclear of an instruction? Well it worked. It looked an awful lot like a city, actually. The fiend returned. Dusk saw an eagle fly away from the docking release hatch. No matter. He had the lifeless remove the cannon and set it up over the watchtower, on a support system. It would be an anti-massive-over-powered-walker gun. He called the precursors, and told them that they were to police his city. Free labor is always nice. He posted an add on the Alleyzon add service. Citizens Wanted. He waited a bit, and had a large group of civilians at his door in a week. The citadel city was officially open! Hello! This is where all the Great game stuff will continue. It is a small city, and has a large amount of ores, and other resources coming out of it for commerce. Soon it will be massive interlocking multi floored city, but for now it is a very large town. Come and enjoy our massive bar, hotel, park, and stuffs. The admission test is below. Exposition Groups Citadel Construction Log Public Dusk Experiments Citadel Code of Laws
  4. "I now pronounce you husband and wife," Said Dusk, who can do these if anyone forgot. Walker smiled. He was finally married. He smiled, and kissed Melody, his wife. @Blessing of Potency
  5. Dusk turned to those gathered before him and said, "Thank you for coming! Don't worry, I'll be paying you for your time. I need you to retrieve something... strange. You see, I was expirementing with giving giant squirrels verbal skills, and accidentally gave the giant squirrel the ability to tab into the latent insecurity portion of each persons cebral cortex, and give off a screech that attivates said portion of the brain to an extreme degree."
  6. Unodus

    Sixth of the Dusk

Something I threw together for a February drawing challenge, couldn't find a section for the Sixth of the Dusk- so I hope this is the right place to share!
  7. I think the One from Above are people from future Scadrial who can do space travel
  8. NOTE: Please DON'T spoil Shadows of Self, Emperor's Soul, Bands of Mourning, Secret Histories, Hope of Elantris, Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell. Also, I deeply apologize in advance if this has been posted before. Also, there are spoilers from Mistborn 1, 2, 3, The Way of Kings and Words of Radiance. . . . . . . . . . So, I'm reading Sixth of The Dusk and a thought occurs to me: "Hey, aren't Sak and Kokerlii like.... metals?" We know that Allomancy doesn't need metals as the source of power, but rather as a catalyst. So, I'm thinking... Maybe, in this world (which btw, reminds me of TSA, mostly the Reshi Isles part where Rysn goes in WoR), instead of metals, these Aviars are the catalysts. I mean, Sak's power is like burning atium, but it only shows warnings and Kokerlii's is like burning copper. Except, Kokerlii shields minds instead of Allomancy. This is obviously related to the Cognitive Realm. What if Allomancy just works differently here? Like how Lift can convert food into Stormlight.
