Well folks I finished the first draft of my very first novel yesterday! I feel like that SpongeBob scene where he’s writing the essay, and just drops a smoking pencil on the desk. But now that I’m done I’ve been thinking more about the pitch I’ve put together for it. Then I had another thought, and I checked the forums, I don’t think we have a thread for pitches! Here marks the creation of just that thread! Feel free to put pitches here for opinions, if you’re seeking them, and if you are not pitching feel free to leave a few notes on the pitches you see fit. Even if you don’t like a pitch, maybe let the person know where the pitch lost you. I would be a fool if I didn’t also stress this: Please be kind always. If you don’t like a pitch, don’t trash talk it. So without further ado, I’ll give you a one sentence pitch. Then I’ll put a slightly longer one in a spoiler. An extravagant fantasy, where a suspicious drug addled widower stumbles into becoming an agent for an ancient proclaimed god. I can’t wait to see what everyone pitches

So this is purely fluff, just to stretch your creative mind. I’ve been wondering lately—what would my Shardblade look like? Obviously live shardblades can change form, but they generally have a base form. And when it boils down to it, I think that base form design has three main factors: your Radiant order, your personality, and your preferred fighting style. And because there are so many different aspects of a sword, I have decided to make a template! You are free to use it or not. Whatever floats your boat! Template: Koloss17’s Shardblade:

I need some help. If you look at some recent topics, you will see that I am planning to write a book. The problem is, I can’t come up with any names. I don’t want any generic names from Earth, but I don’t know how to come up with names like Kaladin, Elend, or Raoden. If you can think of any innovative names, please post them below.

Hi all, So I have a question I'm curious to know different perspectives on. How do you Brainstorm? I'm a prose writer so I don't know how different it would be for other mediums, but I imagine every creative person has to brainstorm in some way. If not brainstorming, then where do you garner inspiration. I'm talking about something other than the basics like music and other works. When you're trying to create something new is there any place (website, physical location, ect.) you go to in order to get new ideas. Originality does not exist in a conventional sense right, its mixing and reinventing, but where do you get your foundation?

I am making my own magic system. It has been in development for a long time. The issue is I know I want there to be eighteen elements, but I can only think of seventeen. I have put them into pairs as well. I am open to suggestions for the last element Edit: I have come up with the last element, but I need some help coming up with descriptions for each one. Use this link to access the document. It is set to suggesting. That means that I will approve the changes made. .

Hey, guys, I've been thinking about this idea for a while now, wondering if anyone's interested and would want to help. I've been wanting to create a Cosmere Trading Card Game. If anyone's interested, let me know, and I'll leave a link to the rules ideas I have so far. I'm okay with art, card design, and game design, but I'm not great, and would appreciate any help I can get! Thanks, everyone!

So I thought it would be a good idea to start a thread to get feedback on our NaNo projects to improve on during this month. For those of you who have read my Ragnaro- Jormungandr (Ouroboros Rising) Story, I decided to redo the whole thing, make it more dramatic etc etc. I just finished Part 1 of the Prelude Here it is
