Hello, fellow fans! I'm a long time fanatic of the Cosmere, and anything else Brandon Sanderson creates. I have a particular fondness for finding better details about the fashions and clothing in each book, as I am a seamstress and costume designer. If you notice interesting details about fashion in the books (there are a TON), I'd be happy for a note with page/audio location reference so I can add it to my notes, please!

Halloween has come and is mostly gone by now, but I like to brag, so here is me and @Steelborn (aka. mi hermano) in our costumes: What were you guys for Halloween? Man, I suck at writing topics . . .

So this may not be the best place to post this question but I'm going to try it anyway. I'm planning on doing a cosplay of a Parshendi warrior for Dragoncon this year. I've found nearly all of the information I need. What I'm still missing is information on their feet. For some reason I always assumed that they were barefoot. Does anyone know?

From the album: Crystin Blade
"Hasta la vista, Smedry." Okay, I'm really not that serious. -

My crafting desk. The sword in the foreground is only half of the blade; the other half was yet to be poured. In the background you can see the silicone mold. After pouring the resin for the second half I pressed the first half on top to create the full sword. -
So, I'm pretty sure a ton of people here dressed up in Brandon Sanderson costumes for Halloween, so here's the place to show them off! I'll start: I was Wayne! What were your costumes?

Hello board, First off Moderators if this is in the wrong place I'm sorry but this seemed the most appropriate place to ask. So I'm working through making a bridgeman costume and was having some trouble with the leather vests. At first I figured they might lace or tie down the front, but two references from WOK have thrown that out. 1. Before going to the honor chasm Kaladin is mentioned lifting the vest over his head ( maybe this just seems weird to me, but a vest implies that the open seam is at the front, and lifting off a garment that way is rather awkward, is it maybe that the seems are down the sides more like armor?) 2. Later he mentions oiling not only the leather but also the buckles... (again it strikes me as strange that bridgeman have buckles, seems a little over classed for them) I guess what I'm trying to say is, anyone have a better idea of what these vests may have looked like/ how they are closed because I am having a time wrapping my head around it. Thanks again

Let us suppose for a minute that you have just stepped into the Well of Artistic Acension and the power to make awesome costumes now flows through your fingers, wiping away any clumsiness previously limiting you. You also happen to be able to summon any materials needed. Given this, if you were to cosplay as anyone from Brandon's work, who would it be?

My wife and I went to a masquerade ball for New Year's Eve. She surprised me with this Shen mask that she'd painted (she used one of my old masks from Sleep No More for it). I was quite tickled. Hope you guys enjoy! (I'm very new, so I hope that this is an ok place to post this. If not, just let me know). - Andrew Stirling MacDonald

So I was getting my boots signed at Comic Con when Brandon suddenly presented me with this opportunity to be awesome. http://t.co/iDV2Nh7kiE EDIT: Mods, if this is in the wrong forum, feel free to move it.
