Alright, so I've seen a bunch of "Mistborn vs Knight Radiant" and Jedi vs Knight Radiant, and because I haven't the time nor patience to read through all of those, I'm going to pose a question that's likely already been answered. Let's say that a bunch of the "strongest" investiture users across the Cosmere had a a fight. I'm not counting any Yolen natives cause all the ones we know of we don't know a lot about their magic and a lot of them are OP. So: Here we go. Representing Scadrial, it's the Fullborn, from Roshar the 5th Ideal Knight Radiant (Pick the Order you think is the best in a fight), The God King from Nalthis, let's say an Elantrian as good as Raoden, a Sand Master who can control, let's say, 30 threads. I'm not gonna count shades cause most of these guys can outrun or kill a shade with relative ease, and First of the Sun doesn't have a lot of physically manifested Investiture besides the mind-reading guys, who aren't human and I feel they can also be killed with relative ease, so we'll just go with the above. God-King, Fullborn, 5th Ideal Radiant of any Order, Sand Master with 30 Threads and Salitrification, Elantrian. And they're fighting in a place where Elantrian magic is strong and the Sand Master has enough Taldain Sand for years. Edit: Nightmaws and Deepstalkers as well as Shades are included

Imagine if a bunch of cosmere characters played a game of hide and seek? Shallan would lightweave a wall to hide behind. Breeze would manipulate the seekers emotions (not a bronze misting a seeker in terms of the game). Vivenna would awaken lots of objects to make different noises to distract the seeker.

I think Hoid's endgame plan is to recreate Adonalsium he is gathering and gaining access to all the types of investiture all over the Cosmere is to either turn himself into Adonalsium or make a mini Adonalsium to test the principal and make sure it is a good idea. I think he regrets his role in the killing of Adonalsium and wants to undo it and that is why he keeps traveling and getting access to all the different types of investiture. I mean think about it he is now a Mistborn, Knight Radiant, possessor of the Moon Staff and I think he is a Sand Master he also has the original powers of someone from Yolen. And we don't know what else he might have access to I do think he's going to have to wait till space travel is exists so he can visit all the planets including the dangerous ones. We also know he was trying to become an Elantrian but failed I think that drove him to steal the Moon Staff. So that about wraps my theory. I'd love to hear people's takes and objections to this!

Got thinking about the names Ba-Ado-Mishram and Adonalsium and the fact that they appear to have a common root, so I started looking to see if Brandon had hidden any sort of meaning into a few of his names. I figured that giving meaning to the name of his overall Cosmere divinity sounded like a very Brandon thing to do. I took a look to see if anyone else had figured out what it meant. Adoda of course mean light, which we know from Oathbringer. I couldn't find anything specific for "Nalsium", "Nal", or "Sium", although now I wonder if Nalthis has a similar root as well. When I looked for "ba ado mishram", I found a post on 17th shard where a member guessed it translated to "void light giver", which would be cool. However, I've been doing some digging and I came up with an alternate theory. I think I scored a hit when I Googled "Mishram." Turns out, "Mishra" in Hindi means "mixed manifold" or "mixed in multiple ways". So I tried translating "Ba" into Hindi. Turns out, in Hindi "Ba" is a number. It means 3. If you put that together with "Ado" translating to "Light", then that would mean that Ba-Ado-Mishram roughly translates to "three lights mixed in many ways." IDK about you, but that seems significant to me, especially considering what happened when Ba-Ado-Mishram was captured. I've hit on two other matches. The Hindi word for "light" is Roshanee. Considering where the original glyph for Roshar came from, this seems right to me. Also, Threnody is a somewhat-archaic English word that is a synonym for "lament". I know that Brandon doesn't always use root words to add meaning to his names and locations, but I know that sometimes he adds them for his own pleasure if he can find an appropriate match that sounds right. I can't match any of the other Unmade names to any words in Hindi (although I'm hindered by the fact that I definitely don't know the language.) Anyone else find roots to common words in different languages?

So I haven't really seen any pages talking about what people think will happen in the cosmere in the later eras, specifically the space/sci-fi. I recently just read a very interesting WOB that I believe is not canon but could show us Sanderson's plans or ideas for the future. (spoiled for length) (Underlined Bold is mine for most important parts) So long story short, Scadrial and Roshar seem to be in some sort of a conflict and both want control of the Avier. Their ship uses Allomancy to fly, and the Knight Radiant is a Skybreaker and has learned of a way to make a gun from their spren that can use an external ammo. What are your thoughts and predictions? Why would they be fighting, who do you think would win, etc. Also, do you think that their respective planets will be united or not? And will the other planets take sides or form their own factions?

Hello, this is my first post, and I made an account solely for this burning question I've had for ages. So I have been under the impression that the Cosmere is a star cluster of 50-100 stars, which I've seen in multiple WOBs, but reading through mistborn, I noticed that on multiple occasions the stars in the sky are described as being as numerous as thousands or more. Is this a mistake? Are they just seeing planets? I'm genuinely stumped here, as I've seen contradictory evidence for the number of stars in the cosmere and it has been driving me up the wall. Thank you for your time

Okay, so I don’t know if this has been explained elsewhere or what but I’ve been wondering why in the Scadrial system the Shard’s impact can be seen in the Godmetals and the Mist but on Roshar it is in the form of Light, Tones, and Rhythms. What do you think is the reason behind this is? Also, would there be a Godmetal, Light/tone/rhythm, and maybe even type of breath (as breaths are little pieces of Endowment itself so are a reflection of its power (I think? Please correct me)) for each and every Shard? (And maybe the combination of all is Adonalisium’s Light? (in Roshar’s case)) So far I’ve assumed that that is just the natural form that Investiture takes in a given system but if that’s the case (it’s just natural) then why that form and not some other? Sorry if this seems a bit cluttered and messy or just plain stupid

I've never been part of an online forum community, but I've been wanting to create a Tutorial for a mistcloak. I figured this would be the best place to put something like that since I also don't have a blog or anything!

To the tune of "Survivor" by Destiny's Child.... the Kesier edition! If you are like me, you probably need to play the actual song and think/say/sing the lyrics below to see how it fits (Warning, spoilers for all things Kelsier and Cosmere...Enjoy!) Let me know what you think or if you have any fun/cool edits! Also, anyone particularly gifted in the singing of songs and such that would want to turn this into something that can actually be listened to? haha

Could a Connecter store connection from other objects? If they could, might they be able to remove the connections from the land and the Investiture? like with stormlight, could the Ghostbloods then accomplish their goal?

in what different situations would you say "investiture", "invested", or "investing"?

This is something that has been eating at me forever. Kandra definitely seem to have gender, and as far as I'm aware we've only seen kandra with binary gender, but that gender seems totally unrelated to sex. After all, when MeLaan used a man's bones, she still used she/her pronouns, which seems to imply to me that kandra definitely see gender as a social construct as opposed to a physical reality. Which is great! Kandra say trans rights! But how do they get that gender? Is is assigned at birth, but via method unrelated to reproductive organs? Do they discover it over time? Are there nonbinary kandra? Has the nature of kandra gender been addressed anywhere but I missed it? Thanks!

In a recent interview for the Kickstarer on Youtuber Daniel Greene's channel, Brandon talked about how he wishes in every future visual adaptations of his works to be unceremoniously killed on screen as an extra. I am trying to think of specific scenes in each cosmere book that Brandon could be killed in. It seems to me that the best options would be ones where multiple people, particularly bystanders are killed quickly. Final Empire- one of the skaa rebels killed by Luthadel garrison just as Vin and Kelsier arrive, one of the random citizens executed by inquisitors in Luthadel square Well of A- Killed by Vin and Zayne during attack on house Cett (mentioned by Brandon), or torn apart by Koloss during seige Hero of A- executed by Quelllion, torn apart by Koloss at pits Alloy- shot by thieves at the ball Shadows- killed by bleeder with F steel in the beginning, killed by rioting workers Bands- killed in train shootout Warbreaker- killed in chaos of uprising by Pahn Kal, killed by guardsman possessed by nightblood WoK- Killed by Szeth at Hanavanar's feast or for one of his crimelord owners, killed by chasamfeind on disastrous hunt WoR- One of the deserters who dies to the bandits, one of Dalinar's entourage killed by bridge assassin Ob- one of the villagers fighting with Fen in Starfall vision, one of the illusions killed by sadeas soldiers, thaylen banker killed by fused near Rysn RoW- killed by Raboniel's soldiers during fighting in catacombs, human resistor killed by Lezian's soldiers while trying to save radiants anyone else have ideas? what system is Yolen placed in, or is it known?

This is just a thread for translating things. For instance, the first ideal of radiance in Latin: Vita ante mortem, Potentia ante Infermitem, Iter ante destinationem. This is also a place for putting passages in Google Translate, because that always is incredibly silly.

The concept for this is short story roleplay. I'll make a very short single quest idea, for instance, the first one is transporting a payload of silver across part of threnody. You come up with your player idea, something simple but dynamic without a large arc. I set up the plot and we start playing. When we're done with the first story, we go on to the next, each being very short. You could have a reoccurring character, or do a new one every time. Here's the basic summary of the plot, then a more in depth explanation: You have been hired! A small large shipment of silver is being transported from this very town to Boschester. It is expected to leave at the next Shaiday. Good fortune to you, and may the Shades never catch you, sincerely, Adonalsiumwillrememberourplighteventually If you want to join, just put a character roughly following this sheet, or a brief concept and name. Cosmere Wordle #1! If you aren’t familiar with how to play Wordle, Google is a great source with the basic info But basically you just guess a 5 letter word and get info on which letters are right/wrong until you get the right word. But you only get 6 guesses. I’m not sure how we make this work smoothly in this forum - maybe someone can do something to make it a cooler experience? I figure for now you all can try to guess the 5 letter word and I will let you know what is correct / incorrect. Might take us some time but hey we should have a winner by the end of the day haha first person to guess the word of the day wins!! I’ve got the word. Hint- it has something to do with the Cosmere… could be a name of a character, strange made of Brando Sando word, come from a cosmere language… let the games begin!
