  1. I've done a digital drawing a while ago, it's kinda fluid, not really crisp, but it always reminded me of Kaladin in the chasms.
  2. Hello all, I am an artist inspired by Sanderson’s book, Skyward. I really related to Spensa’s determination to fly in comparison with my artistic aspirations. I am looking forward to updates, seeing other people’s inspiration from Sanderson’s books and sharing my art. Here are a few images inspired by Spensa from Skyward. A mural at 416 Forster St., Harrisburg, PA and a cover of Space and Time Magazine. More of my work is at arthurhaywood.com instagram @arthurhaywood twitter @arthurhaywood
  3. Hello everyone! I just joined the forum and I thought I'd share an image I made a little while ago of Kaladin leaping across a chasm at the end of WoK! Thank you!
  4. It’s been a while since I posted on here but I figured I’d share some custom cosmere figures I’ve done. I am an action figure collector and found the lack of Cosmere figures aggravating so I made some myself. So far I’ve done Ham, Vin and Kelsier and I’m almost finished with a Szeth and Adolin with a Spook, Breeze, Kaladin, Shallan and Dalinar in the works. I would like to someday finish off the main casts of Stormlight and Mistborn and then the rest of the Cosmere books when I get around to reading them. Thanks for checking out my work sorry that these are tilted weird. Couldn’t figure out how to fix it UPDATE: I recently finished some Stormlight figures. Here we have Shallan Davaar, Adolin Kholin and Szeth. Shallan Davaar is my favorite Stormlight character and the most frustrating of the six to work on. She is a mix of three different figures so all of her pieces don’t fit together perfectly. It ended up working out well in the end. From the neck down is all custom paint/ dye and her safe hand was sculpted by me. Next is my other favorite Stormlight character, Adolin! He was really fun to paint and he’s probably my favorite of the six. All the armor was originally silver and the hair is also painted. The shardblade is hand sculpted, that’s why it’s not super accurate. Helmet can fit on him as well. Last is Szeth, Assassin in white. He is probably the most simple of all six. All he needed was a few symbols removed from the white clothes and he was done. His blade also needed heavy modifications seen as it was designed for six inch figures. thanks for taking a look at my work! Really appreciate it!
  5. From the album: InfernalSquid - Stormlight

My headcanon of a slightly younger Dalinar, under the influence of the Thrill. I realize that he does not have a beard, but hey - he does look good in it. For the Odium in the constellations, I used botanicaxu's art of Odium - credits go to them for that part (ONLY).

  8. From the album: Stormlight Doodles

A beautiful drawing of pancakes done by me.
  9. From the album: Bored Doodles

I’ve always liked the santhid and thought it looked cool. Decided to try drawing it.
  10. From the album: Stormlight Doodles

This is a doodle I did of Navani Kholin when I got bored reading Dalinar's part in TWOK. So... uh, yeah.
  11. So I've already posted a few Sanderson fanarts in the official gallery, but I figured since I have a bunch of other drawings that aren't Sanderson-related, it would be a good idea to start a topic here for them. =) I think I'll go generally in chronological order from oldest to newest to show how I've evolved as an artist. My favorite medium is colored pencils, but I also sometimes enjoy scanning the pencil drawing into the computer and creating a digital version of it. So far I've only used Corel Painter X for that. I used to draw a lot of full-body shots of superheroes, including a few characters I created myself. The first one I ever finished (at least, of the ones I have saved on my computer) was Spider-Man, with the help of a "How to Draw Spider-Man" book. I'm not sure of the exact date that I finished this one, but I'm fairly sure it was in the first half of 2009. I would have been 14 at the time. Next up: Carol Danvers as Ms Marvel from Marvel comics. I copied this pose from an image of Rachel Summers as Phoenix in an X-Men Encyclopedia. I'm even less sure of the finish date for this drawing, but it was sometime between 2009, when I finished Spider-Man, and summer 2010, when I uploaded it to my album of art on Facebook. One of my favorite X-Men is Gambit, so he got the fanart treatment too. Same possible date range (2009-2010) as Ms Marvel. This is the full-body superhero (well, supervillain) drawing I'm proudest of: Mister Sinister, the bad guy behind the Morlock Massacre in the X-Men comics. I'm fairly certain I drew this sometime between summer 2009 and summer 2010. The X-Man Nightcrawler is the reason I chose to learn German instead of some other foreign language in school. Same possible date range as Mister Sinister. This is one of my OCs, created to be a member of the X-Men. He doesn't have a name so far, except for Phillip. Another superhero OC that I call Velocity. (No prizes for guessing what her superpower is! XD) This was the first time I created a background for any of these drawings. (Spider-Man doesn't count because his background is just a boring brick wall that required zero creativity.) So all the art I've posted thus far was completed before July 2010. I'll make another post with more recent projects so this one doesn't get too image-heavy.
  12. Hi! I'm Jemma Young and I'm a comic writer and artist. When I'm not doing my own webcomic, Children of Eldair, I enjoy doing Cosmere art for fun! I recently just added a Gallery here on the site, so you can check it out here. But I also went ahead and attached some here for you to look at! I'm excited to be a part of this awesome community!
  13. Hi everyone! Some of you may recognize my Cosmere art floating around the internet for a while. I'm kinda obsessed with the Stormlight Archive. I'm actually doing a kickstarter right now to fund the printing and shipping of my art as prints! I've already hit my funding goal so if you pledge you'll get your rewards before Christmas. I'm offering my Cosmere fanart in it! So if you want to give the gift of Sanderson fanart (or just want some for yourself), you should check it out. I have medium and large prints and I'm also doing a metal print of "Unite Them" with Dalinar Kholin that doubles as a really cool bookmark. And in case your wondering, this does follow the fanart guidelines set by DragonSteel, so this is in fact legal and okay. I even doubled check with them just to be sure! Here's the link if you want to check it out! http://kck.st/2yG1uaQ Pledges must be in by November 15th!
  14. From the album: Ghostblood symbol art

@Ark1002, don't know if you want this, but here's an Alleyverse patch. I think it looks pretty sweet. I am not affiliated with the alleyverse in any way, I just think the ghostblood symbol is really cool.
  15. Hello all! I know I am new here but a friend of mine's birthday is coming up and he greatly enjoys the Cosmere as much as any of us do. I was wondering if there is anyone with the time, skill, and heart do draw him in the Stormlight Archive as a Windrunner. I am willing to pay. If this is frowned upon please let me know and I will never ask again! May the stars shine upon you Thanks Matthew
  16. From the album: Shadesmar

An abstract piece I did after reading WOK in 2012 depicting the experience of looking into Shadesmar. I was very interested by what the spren would look like there.
  17. This is the Guild of Arts! Here we gather as the artistic* people of the 17th Shard! Join us as we band together as artists! ....That's really all I've got to say. Thank you for considering. *Artistic being interested and/or good at arts like drawing, sketching, painting, writing, etc. EDIT: I'm not really active on this forum anymore, so you can just go ahead and start posting in the thread if you would like to join. Additionally, I don't think I'll be able to add any more members to the member list, seeing as I don't often log on. OFFICIAL MEMBER LIST*: ChullRider - sort of the Guildmaster but that doesn't really matter anymore and somebody else can just take over at this point, if they wish to do so Brightness Random Kipper Curiosity ostrichofevil LarkoftheRiver Kaymyth LouiseSparrow Quiver Mistrunner TheSilverDragon The Honey Badger Venture Mistborn The Only Joe TheYoungBard little wilson Slowswift KaladinStormblessed Gargoyle Coinshooter RippleGylf Zed Seonid Malliw73 Burnt Spaghetti Stormblessed Peasant *If your name is not here, or you don't want to be part of this guild, please PM me (It's hard to keep track of these).
  18. Hello, long-time reader, first-time post. I am curious about an art credit I am having a hard time finding. Does anyone know who did the art that is featured as the "cover" illustration of the Warbreaker audiobook? I know that Dan Dos Santos is credited with the print cover and is mentioned in the acknowledgements, but I can't find any mention of which artist did the audiobook illustration. The image is listed in the Warbreaker art gallery on Brandon's website here: Thanks for any help! Jason
  19. From the album: Stormlight Fan Art

I finished this fan art of Shallan yesterday! I know that it doesn't look anything like her and her outfit is not accurate to the book, but it was fun to create something new. It took me about a week from start to finish. Which is a long time for me, I usually like working on a project from 2 to 3 days, but this was a good practice. I hope you like it and please share with your Stormlight friends! I will be posting a SpeedPaint of this picture friday on my YouTube Channel, so stay tuned! Every week I am going to announce a topic, and the artists of Roshar are welcome to join the challenge and to paint (or any other form of art and craft) something that have to to with the selected topic. It can be a quick sketch or a full painting, a song, makeup or whatever you want, actually. There are no rules except for that it has to be related somehow to the chose topic. OB spoilers are aloud! Feel free to suggest a topic and remember to update you'r result to the gallery so everyone could enjoy it! (; Attention! as you may notice, I took a break. I might reactive the challenge but for now its over.
  21. So I have been able to find full maps of the Cosmere with all the shards and full maps with all known Worldhoppers. However I was looking for a map of the Cosmere with the distances between the planets. Basically, I want to know how far and how long it would take to travel the whole Cosmere Universe with a space ship, something like the Millenium Falcon. A ship that could warp speed. I don't know if we even know how far the planets are from each other in the physical realm? If this doesn't exist, but we know relatively the distance between each system, then does anyone know where to find it, because I want to map this out, for science. Thanks guys!
  22. Hi all, So I have a question I'm curious to know different perspectives on. How do you Brainstorm? I'm a prose writer so I don't know how different it would be for other mediums, but I imagine every creative person has to brainstorm in some way. If not brainstorming, then where do you garner inspiration. I'm talking about something other than the basics like music and other works. When you're trying to create something new is there any place (website, physical location, ect.) you go to in order to get new ideas. Originality does not exist in a conventional sense right, its mixing and reinventing, but where do you get your foundation?
