  1. Yeah sorry might not have been clear, I meant that the recipient of the letter was Nazh, and that gave Hoid a reason to say "your friends of the 17th Shard." Since Nazh met Kelsier. But since its confirmed that the letter was to Frost, I guess that goes out the window for now. From the way Kelsier reacted to Hoid at the well, and thought of him as a danger to Vin later on in SH, I doubt that they would reconcile their differences. The only reason I could see Hoid giving Wax that coin would be to create chaos for Kelsier in some way. I don't see Wax telling anybody that the Survivor went on to the south. But it would definitely influence his interactions with Harmony at the least. Until we see the reaction that the information causes I don't think we can know for certain.
  2. So at the end of The Secret History, Kelsier appears to Spook and declares that "Ignorance almost lost us everything. I'm not going to let that happen again." Then in the end note from Brandon, he says that the story of Kelsier is far from over. As we know, Kelsier somehow returned to the Physical Realm (likely something to do with the spike in his eye), and then traveled to the South to help the people there with medallions that were presumably invented by himself and Spook. After spreading their new technology, Kelsier disappears. Now lets consider what Kelsier learned in The Secret History. He knows now that there are other worlds, 16 Shards, traveling between those worlds is possible, and that Hoid is up to no good. He is also immortal, and has the means to share that immortality with others, such as Spook and more importantly Demoux, a known 17th Shard member. Along with immortality, he could share the powers necessary to travel between worlds. We know that Kelsier has no intention of dying the "final death", and that he continues to meddle in cosmere events. We also know that the way he works is by gathering a "crew" of capable people to work with, and we can assume that he wouldn't be against working with people not from Scadrial. We know that Kelsier has an inflated sense of self-importance (which would explain the crew's presumptuous name). And we know that Kelsier thinks Hoid is a negative force on the cosmere (which gives a motive for the 17th Shard to hunt Hoid). Also, Kelsier having met Nazh gives a reason for Hoid to call them "your friends of the 17th Shard". Now that its all written down, it does admittedly seem a little flimsy. But thoughts? P.S. Half the credit for this goes to the user Rosharan
  3. I don't think so, Kaladin asked Syl why he lost his Stormlight and she gave a reason as though she knew.
  4. The last question is about the end of AMoL, I'll try to keep it devoid of accidental spoilers. So I think there are some tidbits in there worth checking out, as the Parshendi seem to have ties to both Cultivation and Odium but not Honor. Also Talen's Honorblade seems to be missing, perhaps it was switched with another while it was hidden in the cave? Maybe even before? I feel like there was pretty much confirmation that the Nightwatcher is to Cultivation what the Stormfather is to Honor. Odium influencing Kaladin to hate was a fledgeling theory of mine, but he shot it straight down. Come to think of it though, that might have been a dodge as I didn't ask if it was Moelach or the other Unmade spren that is in the Shattered Plains causing it. Thoughts? Edited above because it looked terrible, then split it because it wouldn't fit or something, memory exhausted.
  5. Hello all, last night a few friends and I had the good fortune to go to our first book signing with Brandon Sanderson in Houston. Between the three of us we managed to ask 9 questions about Stormlight (though we didn't get as many answers), and I asked one about the end of AMoL that was inconsequential to the story except for the character it involves, so be forewarned. Brandons responses will be paraphrased for the most part. Edited and added the fifth question my friend asked. That explains how Lopen's arm could heal from Stormlight but Kaladin's slave scars haven't ever healed.
