  1. You want to hear something crazy? That was the very first song I heard after finishing the trilogy--I'd gotten up early to finish it before heading into work, and while internally drowning in some intense emotions, I turned on the radio and that was playing (it was the first time I'd heard it as well). So yeah, that song is forever linked with Mistborn for me.
  2. Wow, wow, wow. I read it in one go because, as usual, I couldn't put it down. That Bleeder reveal left me in tears. Wow, that was brutal, and I think that might of been the cruelest thing Sanderson has done to a character (yeah, I think it might be crueler than . I mean, it's pretty stiff competition). What's worse is looking back it was so clearly laid out, and a part of me suspected it once we realized it was a rogue kandra behind everything, but I so did not want to believe Brandon would go there. The character development was lovely and watching the relationships unfold was a lot of fun. Still rooting for Steris/Wax--she doesn't need to be his great love like Lessie was, but I think there's potential to find peace and comfort with each other. That closing scene between the two of them also left me in tears. I haven't had a proper book coma like this in a while, but this one is going to leave me in quite a state for a while. Does it necessarily have to be another shard? Isn't Kelsier hanging out somewhere--any chances he's causing problems? I mean, I think it would be awesome to see another shard, but it feels too early to begin that sort of obvious cross-series stuff.
  3. My thought is that the shardpools are connected through the Cognitive Realm, and that the reason Sel is hard to access through the Cognitive Realm is because Devotion splintering did something funky to the pool. Of course, that's assuming it IS a shardpool, since of WoB is the pool isn't necessarily what we think it is.
  4. OK, thank you! I'm curious as to how the shardpools work because , and in Elantris, so I was wondering what connects the shardpools. Obviously they're navigable if you know what you're doing, but is the Cognitive Realm in between? Or even the Spiritual Realm? But, if the shardpool in Elantris isn't a shardpool, or isn't functioning properly because of Devotion splintering, is that why it's so hard to access Sel via the Cognitive Realm?
  5. I'm probably misunderstanding something, but iirc, we've seen a shardpool in "Elantris," right? How does a shardpool exist when the shards have been splintered like Devotion and Dominion? And do we know whose shardpool we see in "Elantris?" I'm guessing Devotion.
  6. Hello, first post! Don't eat me alive I wonder if there's something to it. I'm not going to pretend to know anything about geology or physics or anything science-y, but we do know the Purelake drains every highstorm--I wonder if the two are connected?
  7. Hi everyone! I'm eyestothesun (favorite Sanderson quote ever. I think I'm going to get it tattooed on m'body sometime. One day). I just finished "The Way of Kings," which has solidified my membership in the Cosmere fandom and my obsession with Mr. Sanderson's works. I have also read Elantris, Warbreaker, and the Mistborn books. I'm not quite sure what else to put, but I'm excited to join the forum and get to know everyone! You can also find me on Tumblr. My blog is also eyestothesun, and my url is eyes-to-the-sun-bitches.tumblr.com. I think I'm following quite a few of you already.
