  1. I have the hard back and it looks like its two different words A and spry
  2. The way I took Moash is that he believed that light eyes were the problem and the man he trusted the most a darkeye captain that always spit in the face of the class structure flip flopped and defended the person he hated the most after agreeing with him that he needed to be removed and received a power up which turned him in to a light eye but Moash refused to listen to Kal blinded by his rage. The fused constantly mention how he is a man of passion i think this is mostly his rage and he rages at everything Kaladin, lighteyes, the social structure, and himself. This rage turned him against humanity look how it treats its own, I mean the fused don't really treat him any better but this doesn't bother him as there not human, he rages when he sees other parshendi treating parshendi as slaves. Moash logic is pretty messed up he hates the system and extrapolated that to all humanity, throws his lot in with the fused only because their not human and does some pretty horrific acts because of his hatred, its extreme but Moash has always been extreme.
  3. My problem with Nale deciding that hes going to join the singers is that hes making 2 assumptions at least; first is that he decided that the singers laws are right because they were here first, second is that the singers have laws from what it seems the singers follow the fused and the fused are half insane if not completely insane and they serve Odium. I think also since he decided to end the desolations hes swapped from stopping budding radiant to halt the coming desolation to another way because the fused cant be stopped the Oathpack was the best bet and even that failed to stop the fused the only way to truly stop the fused is to let them win which means humanity needs to be gone or at least subjugated it seems.
  4. Becoming truth could refer to a spiritual absolute Truth might even tie in to their uncanny ability to separate the guilty from the innocent. The reason i think it contradicts the ideal of dedication is because this oath dedicates oneself to a greater truth or person as we learn later but if you become truth does this supersede the previous truth you dedicated to, well i guess it might just realign to your new truth but i think there has to be greater reason no one has sworn this ideal for centuries and i think it because of this ideal.
  5. This is the fifth and final ideal for the Skybreakers, Szeth even points out how contradictory this ideal is from the previous ideals specifically the second and third ideal. This ideal is thrice mentioned as problematic in short succession, Ki mentions how long its been since its one has achieved the final ideal and that this is not a oath that the Skybreakers are expected to swear and then we have Szeths word as well. So what does the fifth ideal mean, well i think the fifth ideal is meant to take away the nationality of the law and by doing this the Skybreakers have to be an attribute of the law greater then men and nations. The reason i think this is because laws of individual nations differ from one another and since the Radiants are supposed to be able to go to any nation the Skybreakers would have to be completely up to date on each and every nations laws. This is where i think the fifth ideal has to comes in the laws of men cant stop true justice. If the law isn't made or up to date the skybreaker of the fifth might have to be that law and consequences or if the countries penalties are to heavy the skybreakers who are just might have stepped in against this mistreatment of justice; in Hoids story of the Wandersail we see and example of a leader who methods are too extreme Nale is the only "skybreaker" that represents the fifth ideal and Szeth calls out Nale and the fifth law again by proxy. Nale admits the damage his mind has taken, the lack of mercy which he used to have. I think this was to show us that Nale is of the fifth and that he has broken this ideal for how can one represent the law, justice itself if one has no mercy or is lacking in just, his main attribute. Nale uses extreme methods for all the budding Radiants he searches for their crime and carries out the sentence to the extreme regardless of the crime, example. Lift shes a thief but hardly deserves to be cut down.
  6. Safehands have always been weird, learning that they are always on the left hand makes me wonder about the connection to the knights radiant and why the left hand is important to be gloved. We see that Jasnah made a glove while in the cognitive realm and while she was racing to figure out information to try to save the world she also happened to make a glove out of some random material, that she probably soulcast, Jasnah doesn't strike me as a person who would make a non functioning garmet when she doesn't need to unless she needs it. I think the reason for the safe hand was to protect the soul casters hand as it leaves the physical realm and travels in the cognitive realm. Wonder why the left hand works though might be greater energy output on one side as compared to another?
  7. I agree with the idea that he internalizes the brands and connects them to his failures, but which failure does he connect the brands with? I think his brands may be resolved in his home town, as his original desertion would be from his parents that he left to Roshone and we might learn about tasha though his interactions with Laral.
  8. I never took shash as just dangerous but as liar or deceptive which makes sense with Shallash. Illusionist like shallan make lies realty and that fits what Amaran wanted people to think of Kal hes a traitor, deserter, and a liar. What i wonder about is why does Kaladin still have the brand after he starts inhaling stormlight, why does Kaladin think him self a traitor and a liar after he reveles his powers to people he still sees himself as having the shash brand what else does he see him self as a liar for.
  9. Yeah i think i might of confused myself on some of the second post sorry bout that lets see if i can rectify that. I do think that Nohadon made two trips but they had different purposes the first trip is about the destination while the second trip is about the journey he took and what he experienced along the way. So after Daliner's vision we see that Nohadon picked up the sword and carved out his own kingdom at a minimal i think along the way though he came to two conclusion as he did this the first is the codes: these are the basis for the knights radiant Daliner tells us and they are a better way for war to take place in Alethkar. This seems pretty logical for Nohadon to have done, during the time of conquest he had to wage war to accomplish this and he probably killed or broke surgebinders in the process of doing this. The codes wouldn't stop warring kingdoms from using and abusing surgebinders thou which leads to the second conclusion Urithiru. The knights radiant tell Daliner in his vision against the midnight essence that they serve no king and yet all of them, i think this is the main reason for Urithiru they aren't beholden to any land but help all the lands. The oath gates place the creation of Uirthiru after the silver kingdoms are formed as the gates connect to the kingdoms and the blades of a radiant is needed for the use of the gates. So finally to the second journey i think that goes back to the first oath journey before destination and the codes. I think Ishar made the oaths to bind the surgebinders and Nohadon added the first oath to them and the mass acceptance changed the oaths forever. That is why he walked the journey a second time, he could of token an oath gate or been driven but he walked it because the destination doesn't matter the journey does.
  10. Great quotes hoser but if u will grant me a second more i think i may be able to align them to my theory. The quotes of him traveling across the land seem to be towards the latter half of his life after the silver kingdoms had been founded as in the first quote they speak of Kings, so their had to be others and the world had to recover enough from the desolation to have the sliver kingdoms. The journey though the kingdoms a second time was to see if he had done right by his conquering this parallel's Daliners journey in the books as he is the Nohadon proxy character he tries to emulate the words and sees the work Nohadon had to due in visions. Daliner carves a latrine to think and reflect upon his current state and the state of the world and honor in general. While doing this he thinks about why arent they plate and fabrials for everyday work and how broken this dichotomy seems. This speaks volumes to me about Nohadons journey across the silver kingdoms for Urithiru was made and ran advance systems but the kingdoms he set up or inspired stilled had commoners and he wanted to see how they fared in the new world post desolation. As they are parallels to one another both have similar traits both tyrants, both are considered great men perhaps the greatest in the world, both care for and think about how the common man should go about use of tech and both maybe were bondsmiths.
  11. The Feverstone Keep vision has bugged me since we saw Kaladin oaths break and how dramatic it was for him, what ever this thing that is supposed to be able break the knights radiant has to be devastating, but the sequence seems weird and we find out that the stormfather gives the vision to Daliner as they bond and because he was instructed to do so by Honor;however, Syl also tells us hes broken and i wonder if this vision in particular has been altered. Dozens of knight show up having broken their oath or in the process of breaking them and just drop their weapons and leave. I think this is symbolic and tainted by the Stormfather from how he sees his people being destroyed by these stone faced traitors who go back to their fun in the sun lives after breaking their oaths cause shouldn't their be more shardblades if this scene happened? Their were dozens of people who did this but their is only 50 or so blades known and some unknown ones as we see with the assassin Liss but their should be more blades. So i think something happened at Feverstone Keep, maybe the discovery of the something that breaks KR and that is why he symbolized this as the protectors, windrunners, arriving and breaking their oaths.
  12. I think Urithiru had to be built at the end of the journey by Nohadon and that why he walked all the kingdoms its symbolic and not literal that he united all the kingdoms in the making of Urithiru. We see in the last vision Daliner had of Nohadon he picked up the sword to stop the fighting and abuse by the powerful after the desolation had devastated them. So i think the journey has been fictionalized slightly but Nohadon made a journey of conquest and possible setting up nine other kingdoms. Also on the KR formation; Nohadon could of given Urithiru to KR for protection and their own safety as they now are no longer bound to any particular land now they serve Urithiru and Urithiru is for all the Ten Kingdoms. So Istar's created the bond oaths Nohadon separating them from their oaths to the land. Look how dangerous Kaladin is at only the second oath and he connected the oath to being a solider and Daliner and he was able to use his ability since he was protecting people and that is only one barley trained Windrunner, imagine hundreds albeit thousands of radiants bound to specific lands that would be devastating, almost as devastating as the time of Nohadons vision. Things needed to change and Urithiru is that change to stop people from using the radiants by disconnecting them from particular kingdoms and uniting them in Urithiru.
  13. While we do not have new a lot of information about Elhokar i think the end of the quote about the willshapers excludes him from being a willshaper From what we do not about him is a lot but he doesn't seem to fit a general love of adventure, novelty, or oddity. Wonder who invia is though?
  14. 1) it would seem that Elhokar may be attracting spren that are only visible by him, if theses are Cryptics what lie has Elhokar been living to attract them. Maybe it is from the way he acts like a king lying to himself that he is king? 2) From the way Syl reacted to the Honorblade that Kaladin collected, I wonder if this lie about his blade would be enough to attract a cryptic. If not then i think they would tend to veer away from the Honorblades
  15. Shallan has been one of my favorite characters and her past endeared her character more, but i think she will try to use her light-weaving on her brother, and it will cause problems with her family. Possibly give her another truth a more basic truth about people and her power like maybe you cant force change on people or something like that.
