  1. I think her being a ghostblood makes the most sense. At first i discarded the idea because later on her other family members became involved with them (after the mother is killed), but that may not matter too much. Looking at Mraize it seems to me that ghostbloods will move on quite easily if a member dies. So after she died they just moved on with another family member not wanting to lose progress. The father was probably more loyal to Shallan than the ghostbloods considering he didn't tell them about her abilities. Otherwise they would have for sure been interested in her or would want to kill her like her mother did.
  2. Well I figure if they really don't want to spoil the book they honestly shouldn't get on this site till afterwards. Andddd i don't really know if i can change the title now.
  3. Yeah i saw all that after I posted this (of course)
  4. I'm sorry if i ruined this for anybody not finished with the book yet but oh well. Nightblood has made it to Roshar, that is for certain. Ever since reading it i cant help but wonder how. There is supposed to be two more books written after Warbreaker (if Brandon ever gets around to them) so that means a lot of things canand will probably happen. Considering how Warbreaker is set before WoK and WoR leaves me with even more to consider. So far i have come up with a couple possibilities. First is that somehow Hoid managed to bring it to Roshar with him. My only other theory is that one of the characters from Nalthis takes it with them after Warbreaker's follow up books. If anybody has anything to add like a theory or suggestion have at it.
  5. I personally hope it's not some typical dragon. I would much rather it be a unique species made by Brandon that may have dragonlike qualities.
  6. Without something like sonar they would have to stay near the surface and use a periscope. If this was the case then they would still get tossed around in the waves and current of the ocean (though they would avoid the high winds i guess). So i don't know if they could use a submarine unless maybe they factor in some kind of magic unique to Roshar.
  7. It made sense. I think you are probably right for the most part. They probably tried to make honor blades but ended up with shardblades.
  8. Interesting idea for certain. I think the highstorms nourishing plant life makes sense. I don't know about Honor only contributing the Nahel bond though. Why would Odium go through the trouble to destroy Honor if he didn't contribute much to Roshar. Maybe Honor and Cultivation both used stormlight as their investiture to some extent?
  9. There are two things I would like to discuss and one involves my take on DocHolidays theory on Investiture being passed down genetically. The other one is my take on a Punters theory that Odium corrupted Honor spren to separate KR from their weapons. My opinion is that lighteyes are descendants of KR. However i do not believe that the investiture is genetic. Spren according to Jasnah via sample chapter of WoR are ideals of mankind given sentience. Now it seems Honor has it set up to where spren are attracted to these potential KR and when together allows them to access the investiture (at least around times of desolation). When the KR abandoned their shards and stopped glowing they also abandoned their spren and power. Therefore if they abandoned their power they wouldn't be able to pass it down. So basically what i'm saying is that while the powers were abandoned maybe the lighteyes associated with being a KR stayed with them and were passed down from generation to generation. As the years pass the exact reason lighteyes are 'better' is forgotten but it is still believed to be the truth that they are. My take on Punters theory is that while Odium would probably be strong enough to corrupt spren in some way but i doubt he did. I think Odium prefers brute force over more subtle means. I think Syl seems honest enough in most cases and that the reason she doesn't like the shardblades is because of two possible reasons. 1- It reminds her of the betrayal that all spren are angry about (according to Jasnah in the WoR sample chapter) 2- because the shards were used for the wrong reasons after they were abandoned. That being said i believe that maybe new shards will be developed when a KR speaks all the ideals and completes his bond with his spren. Tell me what you think!!
  10. Twin born would be cool assuming you can choose which type of twin born you want to be.
  11. So it seems to me as if The Stormlight Archive is pointing towards defeating Odium at the end to save Roshar. However it also seems as if Odium is the big problem throughout the whole Cosmere. If he is defeated in Stormlight Archive, what will be left for the Dragonsteel books? The only answer i can see is that they somewhat defeat him but not completely, or that there may be a bigger problem thats not seen yet. It may be a stupid question to ask since Brandon almost never disappoints but still...... Could somebody please shed some light on what may happen?
  12. I was reading the letter that most seem to think was written by Hoid in WoK and i had an idea that he was writing it to Harmony. The reason i thought this was for several reasons. One reason being that one of men looking for Hoid at the Purelake is Demoux who knew Sazed before he became Harmony and likely became one of his agents. Reason two is that Hoid writes about keeping an element safe. I believe this is a bead of lerasium that he picked up at the Well of Ascension which comes from the same world as Sazed/Harmony. The last reason is that in Alloy of Law it was made clear that Sazed does not like interfering with anything but allows his agents to do so sometimes. This would be why he must be asked by Hoid to help against Odium and not automatically take arms against him. On a side note Harmony would probably be a strong ally since he has two shards. Please post thoughts on this theory
