  1. That may be true, but an observation by a character without knowledge of the situation doesn't really amount to foreshadowing, at least in my opinion.
  2. Lots of thoughts, but my main one is disappointment. Brandon is well known for his twist endings that, once revealed, are incredibly fun to go back and look at with all of the foreshadowing pieces in place. There's always a little "tell" that something isn't what it appears. At least, normally. Calamity's nature wasn't foreshadowed at all. Nothing to suggest that he's an angel, or a god in human form, or an old one, or whatever. This feels like an incredible letdown, and more like a setup for a series about superheroes than anything else. The initial premise for the Reckoners is well documented, but now that story is told. The next story is "what was Calamity?" but there aren't enough threads left open to really justify this question. I guess his race could be the next threat, but even then, why make it so blatant but not leave more teases? Maybe its just writing in YA with "there's always another secret" that feels so unfulfilling. Honestly, this is the first Sanderson series I'm hesitant to return to (should the Reckoners return). Again, it might just be the nature of a series designed with a YA audience in mind, but this just doesn't feel complete, or even incomplete in a positive way.
  3. So, I think we've seen that as the Cosmere begins colliding, different forms of energy are able to be substituted, or at least supplemented for each other. If we assume that Vasher is indeed visitng Roshar, he has to be utilising some form of energy to remain alive. This is most likely Stormlight. Stormlight can be contained in spheres, and these spheres have a connection to spren. So, assuming that this energy is comparable across the Cosmere, how would something like Stormlight, which seems to be raw and isn't really able to be differentiated into different "types" of Stormlight, how would it impact magic users such as Allomancers? Would they be able to burn stormlight indiscriminately as a substitute for metals? Would they have to re-learn the ability to burn metals? Would their abilities transform completely from being on a different Shardworld? And if we assume that Stormlight serves as a raw energy, does that make it the most flexible of all "energy" magics that we've seen so far?

Does anyone have a picture difference between the Limited Edition and the regular trade? I'm just curious because I ordered and then received my Limited Edition and from everything I've seen, it looks the same as the Trade edition, just with the page insert with the signature and the number. Can anyone clarify the differences? Maybe I'm just not seeing them but I just wanted to be sure since this is my first purchase from Subterranean.
  5. Sorry if I'm a little late to the party, but I don't post on here super often. Is there a topic or forum to discuss the Alloy of Law if we've already finished an ARC? I remember there was a special forum like that back for The Way of Kings and, seeing as I've just finished the Alloy of Law, I'd really like a place to discuss it. Thanks!
  6. What an incredible Contest! I'd love to win!!!
