Amusingly, the only way to verify a priest, outside of a second priest, is by the Gyorn or Odiv. So it's not impossible that the Gyorn might know his role, but the cultists could only know if they were in contact with the Gyorn, which seems unlikely.
Edit: Also as it stands, if Wonko is correct, then Zas will be Hoed regardless of the outcome unless the number of votes on him drops to under 3. In which case Zas, it may be worth picking your 5 words so that you can communicate who the Converts are (presume you still get updated with those details). Yes or No work well, plus being able to count somehow - point out who converts are by counting to their number in the player list, and then once someone correctly identifies them, confirm it.
Question for the GMs: Do we see the Elantrian votes? Do we find out if one becomes Hoed?
The other thing is a suggestion for any villagers with poison who have no idea what to do with it. We could possible use it to send a volunteer into Elantris for two cycles to help facilitate communications. Just a thought.

Got some analysis and stuff coming, but don't have time to type it out now. I made a vote count though:
Ostrich: Kas <1>Piff: ArarisKas: KipperHoney: Claincy Mail<1> BortMail: Alvron twelfth wilson ClankyJain: Kas<2>Mek: Mail<2>Zas: 3 Elantrians + WonkoIe, so 4 on Mail and Zas, 2 on Honey, and 1 on Mek, Jain, Kas, and Piff0 -
@Meta: My timezone meant the server came up a little after midnight, letting me post before going to bed. I was then out all morning today.
But anyway. I can say I didn't have the pendant, not that helps us much.
Wonko, managed to get in touch with Elantris yet?
I'll be interested to see the results of today's voting, seeing as we had a Duke/Duchess use their ability. I guess that's discussion for next cycle though...
Bah... I think I need to sit down, review the game so far and compose lists of how trustworthy I think people are - currently pulling blanks on who I'd put a vote on.

The best part is that I could take the site down for maintenance... just for you ;)Muwhahaha.
Oh, so it was you then? Was it the servers not coping with the power available to the holder of a Shard of Adonalsium, or did you use too much force lightning?

So after twelve hours of server downtime what's the deal with this cycle. Think the server went down near to the end of the night cycle, but are you taking that as end of cycle, or are you going to give people a grace period in case they left things to the last minute?

Actually the server maintenance message is: The Lord Ruler is currently holding the UNNNNNLIMITED POWER of the Well of Ascension, so the world needs to go into maintenance mode so he can do his work. (Don't worry, he probably won't break much)
As in, for reals?

- Anti-DA propaganda?
- Link to the guild you head (Yay Art!)
Could maybe make the link into something more like 'Enter Ye Here', but otherwise good. Clear and simple.

I'm the only one allowed to cackle villainously here. Also:
This right here is what keeps the 17th shard servers running. 'Server Maintenance' is when Chaos recharges the super batteries with his force lightning.

A thief gets kicked out of his guild, fails to save a princess, wants to be duke.

Would not be Mckdee - his role changed I thought.

Oh, so <n> indicates that it's the players nth vote. Makes sense now.

And then it was edited. Seems we have another case of King/Queen or a second Keeper. Think probably the latter.

I didn't keep track of the votes. Does this match what we expected? It certainly seems to be shenanigans free.

The Priest(s), presuming Hero hasn't trolled us, or hadn't ended up as an inactive, needs a voice. Obviously, they'd need to scan Seon holders first, but you can try search for them - if they scan you, and you end up contacting them, they can start feeling Intel anonymously.

Edit: Hmm, let me google this properly
Edit: Famous five?
Edit: No, Famous Five.
Edit: (Famous Five was what I meant the first time, just been so long since I read the books, I got the title mixed up with Fantastic Four :/)

Something like fantastic five?

You'd be surprised. I get pretty OCD about clearing out mispellings and grammatical errors. And am capable of suffering conniptions over a misplaced comma or a missing space.
But you're also right. In this case, my brain must've shut off for a few seconds because I was recommending that people tell themselves where their Seon was going to, which made absolutely zero sense. (Note to self: sleep is god. Go worship. If you babble like this in your thesis, you will die.)
And Bort has it right. The experienced players all worry each other (well, I guess unless you're Meta or Aonar, in which case you just regard the rest of them with amusement maybe), and being experienced doesn't make us more dangerous or anything. So don't worry about not being able to get a read on us, because frankly, that's a good thing. You shouldn't trust me, for one. I wouldn't trust me. If I'm experienced, then it's not in a way that makes me a better player. It just means I've had more chances than most to screw up in these games, to the point that I've learned to trust no one, no matter how badly I might want to.

Right. No, I'd definitely go back and fix grammatical and spelling mistakes.
I think, of all the more experienced players, you have got to be the most annoying, though through no fault of your own. My perception is that we think in similar ways, which makes me feel really divided about if I can trust you :/

Mods and Almighty GMs, would like to make a quick apology. I realised there was a typo in my post and decided to fix it--and didn't realise that the M'Hael had posted after me :/ Sorry about the mess. Will be more careful about checking in future.
-Kas.
Heh, M'Hael.
What was the typo even. Misspellings I wouldn't have thought would be an issue. Wrong term/name or using the negative of what you intended?

No. My activity levels vary but it's always more than this. As I noted when I signed up I really can't participate in the early couple of cycles, I just don't have the time (or health). I am barely mostly managing to catch up with the thread at irregular intervals. So at least when I do have time to participate in another couple of days I won't have to spend hours trying to work out what the heck is going on.
Acknowledged, and fair enough. Hope things get better. Might have missed where you said that before, but just wanted to bring you up - you experienced players concern me (you all being, well, experienced) along with the fact I have no personal reference of how you are all like to play along side.
Re: Elantrians and the Gyorn/Odiv. I had assumed that an Elantrian Odiv could only convert Elantrians, and so wouldn't be very useful at all. Did I misread things?

Star Wars is a better fit, I think, than Harry Potter.

A boy whose parents have died goes and lives with his aunt and uncle. Goes on an adventure, is taught by a wise man.
Harry Potter perhaps? But I would have thought it'd have been Curiosities turn to make a riddle.

Oh, and re: poison - we did send someone in, they could be scanned by phat, if he were still alive. It's obviously not a great idea though - takes the player of the discussion for 2 cycles.
GM query: Is Mailliw able to gift his pendant before the lynch goes through? (The pendant doesn't protect him from the Lynch, right?)
