Yes, but we also know the Knights are a relatively recent invention. Presumably the Unmade were made before there were such things as Bondsmiths. Therefore, they wouldn't have ever been an option for bonding.

I just thought of this idea today as well. I feel like RoW is pointing in this direction, especially with how the Sibling talks about what is happening to it as "unmaking." I wonder if all the unmade are shadow versions of once positive emotions: the Thrill vs Courage, the Heart of the Revel vs Love?

I've been working on a RoW prediction pool for my friends. Anyone want to give some feedback? What would you want to weigh-in on that have I missed? I've already had someone mention that I should include something about romances, but I can't think of a good quantifiable question. What's too obscure or poorly worded? Does the point balance seem reasonable? And what kind of handicap should I give those who've read sample chapters versus those who haven't? I'd be happy to let people copy/steal for their friends if interested, or even set up a version for the 17th Shard.

Oh, I've got all the resources prepared. My kids have always been above the curve so I've always prepared for homeschooling in case the school wasn't adequately challenging. So I just updated a few of the things we do during the summer. The problem is the time suck.

Well, due to everyone's favorite virus, they just closed the schools in our part of Washington state. I will probably not have time to read people's stuff for a while as I now have to homeschool 4 kids. Anyone else affected?

Elaborate? Only thing I had heard was the L Ron Hubbard connection which people were protesting? @Snakenaps A lot of authors have used the contest to launch careers. There's no fee to enter and they run four contests a year. Unpublished authors only. If you are a finalist, it gets you on the radar of agents and publishers, plus there's a week long writing seminar for finalists. Brandon Sanderson was a finalist as well, along with Nnedi Okorafor.

Does anyone here regularly submit stories to the Writers of the Future contest? I am very motivated by contests and deadlines, so I think I'm going to start submitting something every quarter. Would love to form a support group/peer pressure group.
