  1. The way they died felt -right- to me. I never felt like they died for any meta reasons, and I'm happy with the closure the story gave. Also the imagery of Vin in her mistcloak and Elend in his white suit laying in the field was just perfect.
  2. Well Brian Johnson probably needs a lot of Breath for his performances, so we can only assume it's possible
  3. 3) This might have been specified in the books, I don't remember, but does Duralumin expend itself as well as the metal it's used with? If it does, I've got this theory that its effect is actually just to cause a regular flare, not a superflare, but it affects itself in a feedback loop that keeps forcing the flare higher until it runs out. BRANDON SADERSON So, I've said before that I want to hold off on talking about different forms of compounding and types of twinborn until I can address them in the series. So I'll have to RAFO the first two. However, in answer to the third one, yes you DO expend Duralumin in the process. This was the question I was thinking of, I was wrong
  4. Forgive me if I'm incorrect, but IIRC WoB is that Duralumin flares all metals being burned, including itself; leading to a feedback loop that results in the busy of power. Doesn't this mean that a single Nicroburst wouldn't actually cause the person they're touching to burn all their metals, but just flare them?
  5. In that case I would keep in mind that second parts of three part series (and secomd to last books in general I suppose, as well as middles) generally have super downer endings.
  6. I cast myself as Spook, because I love Spook I could do it, right guys?
  7. If you created a forgery where someone was killed, would that person stay dead or would they wake up when the stamp wore off?
  8. If you were to create a lifeless using enough breaths to bring someone to the 5th heightening, would it be similar to a Returned?
  9. My guess would be that yes, Sazed is the first. We have WoB that Ruin and Preservation are essentially one shard now and would be very difficult to split apart, and the circumstances that led to it seem very unlikely. I guess we haven't seen 14 other shards so it is plausible that he isn't the first.
  10. Light and white rhyme just fine methinks, whether of not the whole thing flows well is something else entirely
  11. The epigraph for chapter Nine of The Way of Kings is: "Ten people, with Shardblades alight, standing before a wall of black and white and red" I wish that Sanderson had written "...standing before a wall of black and red and white" The rhyme is subtle, but delicious
  12. Was it a necessary thing that Adonalsium split into 16 shards, or was it just happenstance? I'm basically asking if 16 was an important number before the shattering or if the shattering made it important
