There was some great imagery in the prologue of Steelheart, but the scene where Deathpoint points at David just jumped off the page at me. After thinking about how to approach it, I spent last night and today sketching out this scene. I'm glad I was able to get it done. I had a bit of trouble deciding how to draw the mosaic, but then I decided to throw the allomantic symbol for Steel into it. I thought it fitting not only for the name of the book, Steelheart, but also for the fact that Deathpoint is standing on it and doesn't care. Sort of like how he's robbing a bank in Steelheart's city and doesn't care. Yet.
