  1. I, too, think there is something different about Kaladin. There is a reason why he started out as the son of a surgeon. I think it'll play a huge role in deciding what he eventually becomes or what his final form will be.
  2. I think Shallan is very "fond" of Adolin, just like how Navani was "fond" of Gavilar. But she only lets Kaladin in to see her true self and she talks about how he has so much passion yet has it completely under control, much like what Navani said about Dalinar. Even though I'm a super fan of Syl x Kal, I can't help but notice all the blatant hints Brandon left for Kaladin x Shallan.
  3. The thing I would have expected them to notice was how the helmet survived so many blows from shardblades. I wonder if it was even noticeable that his stormlight was healing the cracks in the helmet.
  4. You know...Navani has a lot of experience with choosing the wrong man and getting the right one later. Maybe she'll have some words for Shallan lol.
  5. Then she smiled. Oh, storms. She smiled anyway. It was the single most beautiful thing he’d seen in his entire life. “How?” he asked.
  6. “How about this?” she said, holding his eyes. “I promise, solemnly and by the tenth name of the Almighty, that I mean no harm to Adolin or his family. I mean to prevent a disaster. I might be wrong, and I might be misguided, but I vow to you that I’m sincere.” He stared into her eyes. So intense. She felt a shiver meeting that expression. This was a man of passion. This was a man of passion...where have I heard that before? Oh yes...that's what Navani said about Dalinar o.O I think I just unwittingly solved the Adolin vs Kaladin debate that was going on in my mind lol.
  7. Where is the Truthwatcher paragraph? I don't recall seeing it so i was beginning to assume Renarin might have a voidspren...
  8. Well his heart might not fully heal in one book, but he might make some major steps toward being his old self again. If he can find another lighteyes to trust other than Dalinar (like Shallan or Jasnah), I would consider that a step in the right direction.
  9. If Honorblades can really change forms, I hope that Kaladin does eventually learn how to use a sword. If only just for the knowledge. Hopefully his hatred of lighteyes wanes and doesn't hinder him anymore. The Versatility of the Honorblade could then truly be unlocked (especially if he learns other weapons as well).
  10. So...question. What kind of awesomeness unfolds when a person gets surgebinding from both an Honorblade AND Nahel bond?! Is this the first time such a thing has ever happened? Kaladin > Herald? WHat? Edit: Ok, so I'm getting ahead of myself. But still...the only way to counter a group of stormform parshendi seems to be a one man army of Honorblade and Nahel bond xD. But wouldn't that be too much for book 2?
  11. Sigh, Dalinar better not allow Amaram in on their meetings with the king. I can already hear Kaladin gnashing his teeth. Amaram's presence is going to complicate an already complicated situation. Brandon sure knows his drama...
  12. I'm not sure how I feel about the Adolin chapter. After weeks of reading "mature" Kaladin chapters, the older Adolin seems...childish? Hope I don't offend any Adolin fans by saying that, it's just the feeling I get from the chapter. Edit: And this feeling has nothing to do with his duel rituals, those were nice. Gotta love that brotherly bonding time.
  13. These are the last chapters Tor will be releasing? I'm sad now I was already anticipating next week xD
  14. Poor Szeth is being used to hype up Kaladin's status. After defeating him, his reputation will skyrocket, and his name will be known in all the kingdoms. Kaladin Stormblessed!
