  1. Hey hi, I think your best bet is Google play store or amazon Kindle edition. But if you want paperback then you'll have to import the book i guess. I always buy in google play store and then after a few days get the paperback version when I can afford to wait.
  2. Just finished reading 'White Sand', seeing a lot of similarities between Shallan, Kaladin and Khriss, Kenton pair.
  3. The Diagram explicitly points to a peace seeking Dalinar as a competition. So I thought if Taravangian would end up as a second bondsmith.
  4. Will Taravangian be one of the other bondsmiths?
  5. Ah.. Yes.. Forgot about that one. Didn't I? Well that's cleared up then.Thank you guys. Appreciate it much.
  6. I was going through a reread of WoR and noticed something. In one of Sadeas POV in the end just after Sebarial and Aladar join Dalinar's troops, he mentions sending Ialai's assassin. Now there are three assassination attempts in WoR. 1. Moash tries to kill Elokhar with the help of the patriots sect (Graves and Danlan). 2. Assassin in white sent by Taravangian. 3. Assassination attempt on Jasnah by Ghostblood. I'm not sure I read any other assassination attempts in WoR. Maybe it's the attempt on Elokhar in Way of Kings. But Sadeas means it like that the attempt is made on Dalinar's life and not on Elokhars's. He doesn't even consider Elokhar to be a threat at all. Is there something else I missed? An assassination attempt that I missed?
  7. Kaladin will ride dreamstorm!!! It is known.
  8. I ship... Lopellan.. I mean He glows, she glows too. He's got a lot of cousin's and she's got a lot of brothers. He's got the herdazian jokes especially the one armed ones and she's got all other jokes. They complete each other. And when they meet She can say " Lopen you can glow too? I think you should Kiss me now!!" Since the Herdazian king doesn't have any daughters, Shallan is the next best thing I guess.
  9. I just sent a request asking for "white sands" and "aether of the night" to Brandon. Hope I get a reply soon.
  10. Nazh most definitely works for a woman. In the map of shattered plains, he mentions something like "I know you wanted me to draw every plateau but shadows woman, even I'm not that crazy" Assuming that was drawn by Nazh that is!! Also the usage of word shadows as a swear word instead of storms means the person who drew it is not from Roshar and most definitely a world hopper. Most definitely from the planet where Silence of shadows takes place I think.
  11. I don't think we have seen anyone bonded to a highspren yet!! A surgebinder Bonded to a highspren might be morally bounded after a specific number of oaths. Kaladin's third oath is more towards morality and what's right! But he is bound to a spren which demands him to do what's right! Maybe a highspren will demand the surgebinder to be just! Something along the lines of ' I will uphold the law as long as justice is served!' Maybe Jasnah will know more about highspren. Didn't she mention them during the epilogue with wit?
  12. I know it's just a simile and Dalinar is not a herald. All I wanted to say is that there is a possibility that this could be a foreshadowing too.
  13. I have been going through this forum and read several posts here about possible foreshadowings & Red-Herrings. So I thought we can discuss all those subtle references we may think are possible foreshadowings or red-herrings. So Dalinar as a future Herald or just a red-herring? I know there are lots more in those two books. I will actively update this thread with possible Foreshadowings.
  14. He then says that insults are interesting cause it has a bit of truth and lies in them, which implies that there is a bit of truth in what he said. Maybe voidspren do appear in mirrors and pattern used this fact as an insult, which makes him particularly happy about that insult as he loves true lies.
  15. Yes, I understand it is an insult at a specific person. But the next line Pattern says is "Insults in particular will be of great use to my people, as they are truths and lies combined in a quite interesting manner. " which implies that there was some hidden truth involved in that particular insult he used. Between that and Elokhar's comment that shadows with spindly arms he can see in the mirrors and they disappear when Kaladin is around has quite convinced me that Elokhar is actually seeing Voidspren.
