  1. twinkling softly like faint starlight, and as they shine on with innocence
  2. so final, so sinister, so dire and unbearable; never more shall they dream of rising again
  3. the peaceful cadence of her contented purr all but disguise her supremacy plans
  4. I already am home, so no! TPBM has not failed to misunderstand this sentence.
  5. I have no idea, I'm new! I do suspect some kind of friendly cult though! What's you favourite non-Sanderson novel? On a scale of one to ten how risky would you describe your lifestyle?
  6. solidifying their cat caste system which, of course, puts them on top
  7. Haha oh my, I clearly remember those deep af high school interpretations! Not exactly fond memories, mind you! It's interesting that you should feel this one is like them!
  8. In some ways it's like nuclear power, isn't it? Used wisely, it can solve a variety of problems and even help to achieve great things while in the wrong hands, utilised for malicious purposes it can cause serious harm. What makes you feel better: making compliments or taking them?
  9. who's puns are known to be least crass I'm sure you would find them endearing!
  10. I appreciate your take on the WoT adaption (and possibly adaptions in general?) - in particular that you choose to see some good in it as it might motivate people to read the books. I think this is an often overlooked aspect of adaptations. Anyway, I am happy to tell you that I am among those who somehow never came around to reading WoT (it is quite an intimidating series to start...) but decided to pick it up after watching the amazon adaption! Thus, I can provide you with a quick experience report regarding your thoughts on whether WoT might feel out-of-fashion-ish in terms of writing (that's what you wondered wasn't it?). For context, I finished the Eye of the World and am like 200 pages into The Great Hunt by now and I can tell you I already love Jordans prose and overall story architecture! I feel like it is very much up to date both style-wise and regarding its structure! I can see why some WoT fans would be unhappy with amazons adaption (I, too, like the books way more already) but I am thankful to have been reminded and hyped up enough by it to actually take the leap and get into the book series!

That's fantastic, genuinely makes me happy that the adaption is getting more people into WoT. One of my favourite series, but since I first read it when I was very young I wondered if I might be biased when it comes to how Jordan is viewed by a modern audience. Appreciate your taking the time to tell me this!

  11. You really are going all in with the number of tines on a fork theme, aren't you? I happily accept the pasta and the (number of tines) N -> infinity fork we call a spoon and trade... ... a cat-sized pony wearing funny socks!
  12. I make it a game! And honestly? When things are extra dire, I tend to slacken the reins and allow my mind to wander for a bit. Turns out my motivation is a timid thing shining the brightest when pressure is relieved! Do you believe in extraterrestrial intelligence?
  13. Of course, I am! And who isn't, really? TPBM has written a song!
  14. Spectaculame Originally, this one was a stray blooper undermining a rant on a particularly dull lecture(r). But I found it cute, so I kept it
  15. Actually, this is a tenacious misconception! As the world hunger organization (WHO) decreed in 1982, you should limit your calory intake to one weekday only. The remaining freedom of choice as to which weekday is to be feasted upon then brought forth the maxim "You should eat any day" which, finally, was twisted into the false, albeit appealing, version of the statement you just cited. Science is a kind of religion, too!
