@Treamayne Modern meaning the same world but set one to two hundred years in the future. Would their technologies look similar to ours? Would they still have royalty? If there are no more desolations, they would have the freedom to develop their fabrials and methods for prevention/protection against highstorms.

this is kind of random but what would a modern stormlight look like? this is assuming that somehow radiants still exist and that roshar isn't completely destroyed by completetion of the series

I started sanderson around a year ago when a family member told me reading SA would be the best thing i've ever done. at first I was kind of eh about it but then I read skyward and after realizing it was the same author I decided to try reading it again... here I am a year later trying to force stormlight onto any sentient person I can find
