I woke up at 3am with this question. Both are currently on Roshar. Nightblood is essentially a Spren with a Command and a ton of investiture. It's limitations are an inability to understand it's Command (what is evil?) or internalise changes (it's creator is dead, etc). Sja-Anat exists to "enlighten" spren into more than they were. Sja-Anat appears to want to be free of Odium's influence, and nightblood has been able to kill a Vessel. Do we think there's any potential here?

It seemed clear to me very shortly after he turned up - but that may be because of the narration as much as the prose. The rat behaved a lot like Charlie which I picked up early, but was also performed quite like Charlie. It didn't spoil anything to have felt that early, but I was surprised I was convinced of it quickly - because usually I'm terrible at spotting these things.

Tress of the Emerald Sea Reactions (Cosmere Edition)
FuzzyLogic replied to Chaos's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Loved the book - but need to re-read some Elantris related stuff to understand what the heck Curses are - because that seemed insanely powerful; well beyond anything I can think of in any other magic system I recall. You can both adjust Hoid's mind and convert a person into a rat. What the actual heck?! I thought the scariest thing I'd seen Brandon do was have Odium altering Hoid's mind via manipulating/destroying Breath (which I had issues with; that for SURE causes harm to Hoid, Odium) and that was high level god-tier stuff... but some Elantrian (however old) was also able to do that?
