My first time
Lightspen of the Glass Sea replied to Swifftalon's topic in General Brandon Discussion
A family friend recommended Mistborn to my dad. He started reading it and thought I would like it. I started the prologue, bounced off, and came back a while later. It happened to be the summer of 2020, so I managed to do nothing but eat, sleep, and read Mistborn for several days. I loved it. When I decided to start reading The Way of Kings, my dad warned me that he’d heard it was a big commitment. I gave him a look that meant “do not underestimate my powers of binge reading” and henceforth read through Brandon’s entire body of work. It has been my mission since to convert all who will listen to the ways of the Cosmere. By my last count, I’ve gotten at least seven other people hooked via my magic powers of Persistent Bugging. -
Happy birthday!! May Zane die a horrible death (again)!

The original sources of power
Lightspen of the Glass Sea replied to Oltux72's topic in The Sunlit Man (Cosmere Spoilers)
Maybe the technology simply deteriorated? If they didn't have the chorus yet, they wouldn't have been able to create new parts. Maybe they used whatever spaceship they arrived on until it fell apart, and by that point they had sunhearts? -
I've always thought Survive could be a dawnshard. This would make sense to be the one Hoid and Sig held. Kelsier mentions during secret history that he heard a voice telling him to Survive when he was in the pits, in a way that reminded me of the voice telling Dalinar to Unite Them. This got me thinking: What if dawnshards can speak to people through the spiritual realm when they need to be nudged in the direction of the dawnshard's intent? What if there are dawnshards whose intent aligns with Survive and Unite? Just an interesting thought that I'd be interested to see what others think of.

Zellion
Lightspen of the Glass Sea replied to Eran of Arcadia's topic in The Sunlit Man (Cosmere Spoilers)
I'm very interested to see the origin story of the first Lodestar Zellion. How did he come to worship Adonalsium, and why did he go to Threnody, convert a group of people, and lead them to Canticle? He must have had some very interesting reasoning. -

The Art of Secrets in Stained Glass
Lightspen of the Glass Sea commented on Cheyenne Sedai's article in Columns and Features
Same. It’s just too pretty! -
1. WHAT WAS DIER’S PLAN THAT HE NEEDED ELIANE’S HELP WITH? Please choose this one if you are going to answer any one of my questions. 2. I want to make sure Ian talks about Sylvain’s backstory. What was his history with Julian, what secrets is he keeping for his family, and what emotional trauma trained him to hide his pain so well? And why do Ian’s characters keep getting their hearts broken by Matt?! 3. A question for Matt: Do you headcannon that any of the NPC’s survive the catacendre? Players, do any of you think your characters could possibly have survived? And just more about Jenna and Dier’s future. Edit: In case anyone was wondering, that last bit of question 2 was a ploy to get Ian to react to it and maybe confirm some stuff about Royce. It worked beautifully.
