Esquirlas del Cosmere

Hi there! I have only read Elantris (and Sel stories) and Warbreaker, and I'm about to get into Scadrial. But, as it is, I have read as well the first 5 chapters Brando gave us of the Secret Project 1, and it mentions aethers... What do you guys think? I would love to know a bit more, and if it strictly isn't spoiler... Could I read Aether of Night (knowing it isn't canon) without spoiling any other cosmere content that is canon? Thank you so much!! Also, PD: I know since I read it somewhere that aethers are mentioned in Oathbringer, but know no more than that.
