  1. brandon has said that there is no upper limit to how much charge feruchemishts can compress at one time , only limit will available resources . there is physical strength, physical speed , sences, mental speed , energy ,physical weight and health along with special fortune and connection etc. AI or any other computer will be far slower once zinc and tin are compound for mental speed and sences. as for as missiles targeting , if i know it is coming for me, i would immediately compund iron and pewter , for heavy weight that will sink in ground . or i would compund steel and escape it . i could become something like hulk with compounding enough pewter simply jump away from targeted are. there are a lot of ways one could survive long enough that governments will have to call of these attacks for at least fear of retribution . i would avoid capture at all costs . even then by magnatism , they can pull out only iron and steel , again with enough pewter compounding , hulking out of any building would be easy. pewter compounding will strengthen our body . if one is only using pewter then i think, eventually they would get tired and won't be able to swing arms , but can be averted by gold compounding or bendalloy compounding for health or energy . and this is by using only feruchemy , allomency could be used at any time to compliment above mentioned abilities and further strengthening body .
  2. . I think that pure form of investiture is at least viable to allomancers along with all other magical people but they will power their own abilities ,not get new abilities even if it is pure investiture . and they didn't get additional abilities like they might have like if they would had burned metalic Dor . this is rather strange. BS said that all god metals are allomantically viable to anyone ... and would give some abilities . why Liquid Form of pure god investiture Dor wouldn't give abilities when metallic form of pure god investiture would give abilities? and also why only investiture in metal form is burnable for everyone ? i read above discussion . making alloys with god metals and their composition is what would make total number of allomantic metals so big. that indeed would essentially renders metallic arts as soft magic. if this comes to reality in cosmere then each person will have different abilities and categorizing all that would be..... impossible . i am seeing a huge number, indeed. But i have high hopes that BS will utilize his near infinite cleverness and keep number of allomantic metals low . this may happen in many ways . i don't have enough information to be sure . but he may say that a person of scardail cannot use Roshar based god metal alloys or some other limit using identity and connection . or something else. I hope that he would not do easy thing to keep metallic arts too unwieldy : allowing people access to only some of all possible alloys . that being said god metals are rather hard to achive . and even when we do get one god metal it may not make alloy that we want or make an alloy that can't be swallowed or burned in other ways. ---like harmonium can't be burned by anyone because it would explode when in contact with water.( explode in your mouth or in stomach ) ---it might be technically possible to make a god metal alloy . but maybe in practical , that god metal may chemically react with ordinary metal in question so turn into some useless alloy . also we haven't seen many god metal alloys and there might be a possibility that only Shards can creat some basic alloys. ---like atium in final empire . it was naturally occurring due to Shards on scardial. we did supposedly saw someone making eleveth metal that Kelsier later obtained , but it was an alloy of atium ( an alloy in itself ) and one other metal. what i am saying that what if only shards can do god metal alloys(of one god metal + one normal metal ) exclusively . and then humans could later use that binary god metal alloy to make tertiary and further alloys by adding normal metals . their composition would be hars to find by simply fiddling through combinations . more metals in an alloys , harder combinations would be to find. BS will find constraints for metallic arts . i hope.
  3. if i have proper knowledge i could do pretty much i wanted. even though i would be a full born , first i would be new to powers second is getting metals for both metallic arts . hiding them on body would be difficult since there are plenty of metal detectors around . . i would use arts to learn about luck , identity , connection and other stuff . with connection , i would learn all languages of world with luck, i would make mony from gambling. i would use copper to store as much information i wanted. i could pass any exam , any where . i would learn how to be conspicuous in society , i would infiltrate people and organizations using emotional allomancy along with my knowledge about luck. you see where i am going . i would become a lone vigilant , keeping close eye on world and set the things right. of course i would first learn all i could about laws of countries and international relations . i will understand that this world can never be a heaven , it will never be white. it will remain gray , i would do my best to lighten the shade of gray for world . and that is without knowing all cool compounding abilities . for lesarium, i would become teacher and follow closely life of some childern . i would give them lesarium if i found them worth after at least decade of keeping close tabs on them . i wont let them knlw that i am a full born , i would never use allomancy nearn them and use only Feruchemy . eventually i would become something like nick fury as i would manipulate mistborn heros into getting along with each other and guiding them world , keeping peace and prosperity etc. and of course being a full fullborn , i will use atium to be immortal , though i would not show that i am young , i would halt my age near 50. amd after some 80 years, i would vanish from piblic entirely and chose a new identity and repeat growing old again and so on.... that are some of my intentions.
  4. i think maya tells Adolin that spren knew something bad and painful would happen to them if bonds were to break ,in towards end of ROW . i think she mentioned that they didn't specifically knew what would happen , only vague sence of dread , pain etc. she didn't knew that they would become deadeyes. we also know that dead eyes first ever appeared in history due to events of recreance ( there is a WoB somewhere about it) . recreance happened( I think ,soon) after end of false desolation . false desolation was considered won when last bondsmith of sibling captured Ba Ado Mishram in a perfect gem. several sources in SA seems to think that capturing of Ba Ado Mishram was a bad decision as it had significant consequences for roshar .Singers lost their identity completely and became something of slave form when they couldn't even look after for them selves. Honor lost his mind after that , so this capture may have some hand in death of Honor it does seem far fetched , but still a possibility . dead eyes happend after that event . it is highly unlikely that no single radiant ever broke their bond befor recreance. so why dead eyes were seen only that time and afterwards ? these events seem connected someway. also there is something fishy with missing vast majority of shardplates and blades resulting from dead spren.
  5. well this is an intriguing Discussion . i believe dawnshards are not used in past desolation , in order to defeat fused / singers/enemy . it is to say that dawnshards might have been used on roshar for other reasons than war so that use is not related . we do not know what capabilities of dawnshards are and how person holding it can use it.Brandon says that each dawnshard give its bearer different set of capabilities . hightninig awareness of colors and sounds is common ability for all four dawnshards. so it would mean that not all dawnshards can ( possibly ) harm enemy / kill them / destroy their land etc. we do however know that ashyn was destroyed by reckless use of surges along with use of a dawnshard( it is stated somewhere that one dawnshard was involved in this process).we also know that Odium came to Roshar with human refugees [ possibly ,when Honor and Cultivation accepted human refugees from ashyn , he became a god of Roshar] . i belive Odium wanted a way in so he would have manipulated humans into destroying their home world and then he would have shown their bondsmith how to use his surge to go to Roshar. it is mentioned that dawnshards protect their bearers against use of hemalurgy. that is because hemalurgy would pose threat to dawnshar itself ( not only its bearer ) as investiture is lost during this act. we dont know if dawnshards have some built-in mechanism to ward of threats against the life of their bears ( other then special abilities they give their users). apparently they don't . we do know that some of dawnshards can manipulate land as dawn cities were created with dawnshards that event might have happened before Honor and cultivation came to roshar. It certainly happened long befor coming of humans. we know that Odium wants a way out of braiz and he would not mind doing so with destroying everything . if he can. dawnshard Currently on roshar was protected by sleepless because if Odium managed to get that dawnshard , he would do untold destruction to Roshar( or some thing along those lines). Odium does not even now that dawnshard is there. if dawnshard is to be used in war againt Odium , he would definitely notice when it is used against him or his troops . so exposing existence of dawnshard by humans even if they managed to kill every single singer and fused , would certainly lead to Odium hunting down-- specifically-- for dawnshard and him doing untold damage to Roshar when he get it. It doesn't seem feasible enough for humans to use them against enemy in significant way. If they use dawnshard in an insignificant way against enemy, Odium may not notice its use, but risk of him noticing that it is in his reach is too great to use it for small things . if it is used in more significant way as defeatin singers , then he would notice it and then only way out for Odium would be to get Dawnshard and then kill cultivation with it or destroy Roshar or something along those lines . eventually , use of dawnshards against Odium would either lead to destruction of Roshar or Odium becoming god of men and then him using humans as his troops in his conquest of Cosmere. one can question that how can Odium manage to capture dawnshardbearer. to answer that , i would say that he is a god and have a wast army on his disposal , once he knows his target ,he would use every trick at his disposal to get it , and he has more aggressive tricks than other gods . and he is more cunning than Honor. In visions of Delinar , Honor seems to suggest that dawnshards maybe useful aginst enemy. he may be suggesting this because humans are truly desperate now with no apparent end of desolation( please dont go on saying that humans are more powerful than enemy. i am mentioning Honor's point of view . it is apparent enough by Visions that he is extremely worried about human defeat so he is providing any help he can after his death). so i believe that dawnshards were never used against enemy-- in a significant way . if they were , we might have noticed effects
  6. i agree with you .Honor might have ,on some point , used a dawnshard against Odium but it is unlikely that dawnshards were used in battles. Some soldiers -that is to say very few- could have managed to kill fused in battles but it is not likely , as if normal soldier is never expected to slay a fused. if someone did managed to kill one, he would have done that because of luck more than because of skill. if you shoot enough arrows at someone clad in plate, there is a chance(small one) that one arrow will find eye slit and kill that person . I thhought only Kaladin and marshal Azure managed to kill fused? did others kill fused in siege?
  7. Ah .there is nightform for singers it would indeed provide significant edge in battle strategies . even if future couldn't be determined clearly enough , it still is priceless edge. and i dont think that Honor helped his human troops with future insights , considering how vorinism ,Honor's own religion disapproved of predicting future , calling that it is of voidbrigers . yes , in OB one of Skybreaker training instructors tell szeth and others that - most radiants would go as high as 3rd ideal . few would achive 4th ideal and 'i think' there hasn't been any 5th ideal Skybreaker around in recent years. - also in ROW one of honor spren tells same thing that few readiants achive 4th ideal before proceeding to tell Kaladin that he has also reached his potential in radiant path and most likely will remain 3rd ideal radiant for his life. we see Kaladin take down Lezian, the Pursuer even when his powers are suppressed . we see Moash kill lady Leshwi while she has superior powers. In both cases weaker one exploited ignorance of superior one. they used their enemies' arrogance against them . they had surprise on their sides , for Kaladin and Moash predicted where enemy will be and how eny will attack . If enemy was humble and careful , they both have died . to say that normal soldiers could kill heavenly ones similarly, is not likely . normal soldiers wont have surprise or training on their sides . and in battles every one is focused enough that arrogance of fused cannot be exploited in same way as Kaladin and Moash did. yes , in books it is mentioned that there are fewer 4th ideal radiants compared to 3rd ideal radiants. but we also see alot of 4th ideal ones in that vision. may be it is just a vision and so not entirely accurate . or may be there were even more radiants than we previously thought . later seems more likely . it would indicate that overall number of radiants was more than thousand. i dont think humans used dawnshards in past desolations. i don't think that humans had any access to dawnshards. Stormfather tells Delinar that Honor began raving about dawnshard toward his end and kind of lost his mind. also we have only seen one dawnshard on roshar . There is something peculiar going on with order of truth watchers , enlightened mist spren bonded radiants can see into future . IDK if normal truthwatchers can do such things as well when they are progressed enough in ideals . may be we see only renarian do that because he is advanced enough . but I think Relain did same think on end of Rythem of War. still there does seem to be something fishy with their order. information provided by gems left by ancient radiants do say that truthwatchers were secrative bunch. It is mentioned in one of epigraphs.
  8. i do remember that in OB. but i thought Stormfather was referring to fact that Odium is riding the storm like Honor once did , and not that Odium stopped it for his purpose like Honor might have done. either way ,personally ,i think It would be harder for Honor to move highstorm outside time table because he is god of laws and Odium would not feel any restrictions because intent of his power is different .
  9. i dont think Honor could do that , him being god of laws and all that stuff, shards having their rules, intent etc. Stormfather is like honor just much smaller and he acts like he can't go against nature of storms when Delinar asks him to do things.
  10. Unmade are decaying ? like fused that lose their mind when their soul becomes worn and thin enough and lose their will? they (Unmade )are type 1 invested beings , investiture come alive because it was a big chunk of investiture . they are immortal .
  11. yes i did noticed this gender change from warbreaker to SA. in warbreaker , tone of nightblood felt feminine . also name 'nightblood ' felt feminine . and then in SA i read sword referenced as he. very surprising for me.
  12. amazing book . amazing ... simply amazing . series . book . all of them . yes . amazing . looking forward to Defiant . amazing .
  13. guys . i know healing power of this lvl is overkill . i also know that indestructible swords that can cut through every thing without much effort is an over power. also surges appear to be much more ... idk , unique ? useful ? flexible ? ah useable if user has mind to use them . and it does sometime appears that in SA , very few surgebinders use their surges to full extent ( i might counter this argument with training requirement). yes . i think that whole sytem is so overwhelmed with magic and abilities that it should have exploded .but it has not ,or brandon has not let the system to explode . he is still juggling things ? i did think ,previously , that good guys are weaker than bad guys . now i think that they are nearly equal . you see that both sides had same information about technology , specifically fabrials and anti lights at the end of ROW. the argument that , with enough training , radiants will come out superior than fused ; is pretty solid one. and i would agree with this argument .... for next half of SA. in fifth book , i dont think that many radiants are going to be able to master their surges to max lvl. and then ... but if enemy put their mind to annihilate humans , they could simply go and kill common humans and eventually , spren will have no one to bond . this is one scenario . fused could do a lot if they have a mind to. fused could ... but they dont want to kill humans by their own hands , they want subjugate them , use them as shock troops or army to invade cosmere. then after completing conquest to cosmere , killing what remains of humans. still their are many possibilities , if powers are used in right way .... but ... my point is , SA is balanced as of first five books. both sides have some abilities ( overpowering ones yes ) but there are some hurdles aren't there? some limitations ? there is agenda with in agenda of enemy and to some extent of good guys. and then there is problem with fuel . fused can request voidlight at any time, they dont leak it very much. radiants have to use spheres . they can run out of stormlight . they cant have delinar at every battlefront . yes yes . this does not make fused any stonger. radiants of 4th or 5th ideal would use stormlight as slowly as fused. also , healing consumes a lot of investiture . i think that in most of 1v1 fights, they aim to injure opponent to so that he would have to heal himself and run out of light.... i think this happens most of the times when there is fight between surgebinders. again there are good arguments highlighting +points of each side. i would still say that story is balanced . there aren't any flaws that say that story is ruined . and there is not much of power / ability gap between both sides ( at least in first half of SA). and it is one of best epic fantasy series .
  14. i meant same thing but phrased it keep spoilers minimum. you see ,spren donot get born often . and even when they are "born" they need centuries worth time to mature and be able to make bonds with humans. if they make premature bonds they get hurt badly and i think even die, when they lose their radiant. sylphrena is an example of premature bonding. on the other hand odium can convert any singer into fused at his leisure . they did seem scared of radiants but then again they are big and massive .they can smoother normal armies by simply walking over them . radiants might be able to kill them easily but it will still take time . imagine what a thunderclast would do to human army in few seconds or minutes before radiants kill them. and when they fall they might take down even more soldiers .
