"Yes. Very probably. You don't have to do it," she told him, feeling desperate. Desperate that he wouldn't do it, because she'd undoubtedly let him down eventually--- but more desperate for him to remember, so she could see that recognition in his eyes again.

She didn't know what to say to that. She Found a marshmallow and played with it, but she didn't really feel like eating, so she dropped it into the bowl by her feet. "But... maybe it's not."
