Thanks for asking, I’ll tell you.  So I was at the Grand Canyon and then I had to go back to my Grandparents house. We got in the car and my dad said “[my name] if you don’t talk for the entire drive I will give you 100 bucks” 

See I am a very talkative person and he didn’t think I would make it ten minutes, but  I was determined. You see I really really wanted a Leatherbound. You should not come between a bibliophile and their books, besides I can be very stubborn.

8 1/2 hours later I’m 96 (long story) AUD richer. 

I wonder if you can guess what I did with that money? Was I responsible? No. Did I put it in the bank? No.vDid I donate it to our church? ( well 10 percent but no)

I bought a $159.26 book.  I’m so happy!!!!!!!!

I’m at the Grand Canyon. Or rather, I’m next to it and am going there tomorrow.

In other news Tress is just … wow. I have no words I … wow.

Hey Robin I am going to petition for the rep limit to be moved up (if you never hear from me again the mods have killed me) Can I quote this reply to an SU you made?

How many times have you heard yourself thinking these or similar words? Will you support the proposition of moving the rep limit to 40? The number is low enough to hopefully prevent manipulation but high enough we have some more freedom.
If you read that first statement and thought something along the lines of 

“*scoff* I’ve never/rarely reach the rep limit” OR “I don’t really use the reputation feature much” OR “I’m confused”

then why don’t you support this movement also? It will not affect you negatively in any way and for those of you who suffer from “Ican’tgooverthelimit-o-phobia”perhaps you will use the wonderful feature our Mods provided for us without worrying about reaching the end of your point spending abilities!

Sorry for the back to back SU but…

I’m back baby!!! 90 days is officially up, the ookla has been shed! I’m me again!!!!!!

Well I am proud to say that I have temporarily relieved the ElDorado public library of all its Brandon Sanderson books. I borrowed the WoK audiobook, books 2,3 and 4 of Alcatraz, (everyone needs a good dose of middle grade in their lives) , and Arcanum Unbounded. I just returned the first Alcatraz book and Skyward, the latter of which I have not read yet because I got it for Christmas.

I am quite appalled in the few Sanderson books they had, it’s a tragedy (just channeling my inner Melody)

A kid has to be prepared if they are going on a road trip to Texas is my only defence. Besides I can’t get the Alcatraz books (barring the sixth) in my country, if I’m in the US I may as well make the most of it! 

Did I see a bookstore today? Yes

Did I decide that I was just going to browse for a couple minutes? Yes

Did I end up buying The Rithmatist and nearly buying a second copy of TLM? Yes

Am I sensing a pattern? … yes

Do I care? No

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness gracious me! 
I met my baby cousin for the first time yesterday and he is so cute!! I haven’t had internet net till now but I just had to tell you guys! It’s his first Christmas and we get to spend it with him, I feel so honoured. Did I mention he is adorable?

Gee 90 days is longer than I thought! I guess I’m going to be an Ookla for a while. 

Welp, I went into Barnes and Noble today with a plan to not buy anything.

I walked out with Elantris and a really cool version of PJO: TLT for my little bro for Christmas.
I only restrained myself so much because I didn’t have enough money with me to buy everything.

I also went to the library and checked out four more books.

Do I have a problem? Maybe. Do I care? No.

Wooo! I’m on a plane to LAX. I’m visiting family for Christmas and I’m super excited. It is a 16 1/2 hour flight (with transfer) but I have four fresh books to tide me over, two of which are Sanderson.

I am so tired because we got up at 4 am to get to the airport but I am super duper excited!
