Yeah, within the set of Cosmere books, I might recommend Warbreaker next. I think I remember Amira saying she tried Mistborn and wasn’t getting into it, but maybe I’m thinking of someone else.

The only way to find out is to read the next book. Edit: I don’t know who Wyrn the King is. I’m pretty sure I’ve read all the cosmere books (all the canon ones, anyway), but I’m drawing a blank. I’d guess he’s a king in Elantris, Warbreaker, or Whitesands, though, since those are the ones I’m the least familiar with.

I choose to believe that Hoid’s telling this story to a teenager behind him in a particularly long line at the grocery store. (Mostly because I don’t think we have enough information to figure out the answer yet, short of a WoB just telling us.)

As long as they need to be. I like longer books… it gives the author time to develop complex and nuanced plots and characters.

At least so far, it’s just a coincidence, and I’d be surprised if that changes. Like, the “but that doesn’t make any sense” kind of surprised, not the “I storming knew it!” kind.

I think that’s a spoiler, and I think there’s some follow up on it in the next few Eshonai chapters/interludes/whathaveyous.
