    Telsin In the End

OK. I don`t have my copy of SH available so I probably misremembered.

    Telsin In the End

Vin could have stayed because Harmony offered her. I don`t remember that Rashek could have stayed as a cognitive shadow, from what I remember he might have been able to stay for a few minutes (as a mistborn) but when he saw Kelsier he decided to just go to the beyond immediatey.

    Telsin In the End

Rashek died as both a mistborn and a feruchemist so he was very invested when he died, more than Kelsier who died as only a mistborn (and a weak mistborn). On the original question - It is possible that Autonomy made her a cognitive shadow (Telsin seems like the kind of person who will want to try again to take over the world) but I don`t think Autonomy is giving second chances to people, from what we heard of her you survive only by success.
  4. If you like epic fantasy than I recommend starting with the Stormlight Archive. It has the most world building by far and in my opinion is the best entry point to the cosmere. If you already read some of Brandon`s other works and liked them then you can also start with mistborn or some of the short stories (The emperor`s soul, Sixth of the dusk for example).
  5. I might be wrong about this but I think that those factors have big effect only when looking at the sun radiation going through the all atmosphere and are negligeble In the case of radiating something few meters away. But this is not really relevant as we both agree that lightweavers can heat things by creating a lot of radiation.
  6. The amout of energy is proprtional to the wavelength so IR radiation creates less heat than visible light. Radiation in any wavelength will give heat - IR is not special in this and actually heats less then visible light (and even less then higher wavelength radiation).
  7. No. It works the same as any other wavelength. Thermal radiation is a radiation a body emitts based on its temprature. The wavelength of this radiation depends on the temprature. a body in room temprature emits thermal radiation in the IR but in other temprature the radiation will be in other wavelengths - the best example is the sun who radiates thermal radiation as visible light.
  8. Infrared is not heat, its just another wavelength of light. Any radiation transfers energy, so even the ilussions we saw probably do (but in a very small amount). I don`t think lightweavers could control heat by itself since it is not generally thought as a wave.
  9. Please delete those comments. TLM spoilers are not allowed here.
  10. We see the magic system in SP4 and is not a kite magic. Also,
  11. I think that the mass of a sphere of stormlight WILL be very low - we saw this amount of investiture transformed into energy when Radiants used the stormlight for surgebinding, in an light-antilight explosion the amount of energy should be the same (or at least the same order of magnitude). Probably the biggest gemstone we saw can only hold stormlight equivalent to a tiny fraction of a gram.
  12. Jak was very surprised to find out that Koloss are people with hemulargy and seemd to not know about hemulargy at all. Spook knew a lot about hemulargy (both spiked himself and worked with Kelsier later). So unless he intensionally acted as if he didn`t know about it when he wrote about his adventures Jak can`t be Spook.
  13. Even if a shardguitar wont automatically play the pure tones the spren can probably feel them naturally so if they have good enough control on the shape they are manifesting the probably could change it untill they produce the correct tone. It might take practice for the spren to do this - we don`t see spren that have such fine control of the shape.
  14. Nothing. They stayed in the same place and their decendents are the majority of the upper class in the basin in era 2 (including, Wax, Marasi, Steris and a lot of other characters).
