  1. David Tennant as Hoid would be interesting. I've only seen Dave Bautista as Drax, so I'm not overly familiar with what he can do as an actor. I do agree about Johansson.
  2. Okay, this is way different from things I usually do. (But since I'm new here, I guess this is basically the assumed norm for me) I'm making this because I saw a couple of things about how great a Stormlight movie would be while googling "Brandon Sanderson Memes", and there's a thread for Mistborn. (And I didn't see one for Stormlight) The things I saw: (Stashed in a spoiler tag because It's convenient to shrink things) The first role I thought of was The Stick being played by either Michael Caine (Because his voice is awesome, and I recently watched The Prestige) or Sanderson himself (Perfect cameo opportunity) and the second role I thought of was Hoid being played by Johnny Depp because I've seen him play a variety of spontaneous acting characters, but one of my friends suggested Tom Hiddleston and now my brain refuses to not have Hiddleston as Hoid. Also, it would be absolutely epic to watch a behind the scenes clip of Szeth's actor hooked up to a rig and running onto a wall to get to the ceiling. And I saw a clip somewhere on YouTube where some people were basically windrunning by using some rigs outdoors and a panning camera. (More like running in a field and using a rig to jump far) No idea where it was, but it's probably somewhere on the internet. (Or my sleep deprived brain came up with it) Anyway, I don't know very many actors, so I'll probably end up just setting this here and watching how things unfold. Edit: I also had the idea that Scarlett Johansson could play either Jasnah or Shallan, but the same friend who suggested Hiddleston said she'd do better as Shallan.
  3. Definitely Stormlight. Rhythm Of War is my favorite Sanderson book, (Fabrials, and the things they do with the kinds of light!) but my all-time favorite book would definitely have to be The Lord of the Rings. The second one is a bit of a harder question. For Sanderson's, I love Hoid's randomness and the actually good advice he gives every now and then, but I also really like Adolin because of how he treats Maya and how he acts in general (Certainly flawed, but trying his storming best), and I also like Shallan because she's got some really fun stuff. (And again, the good advice from Hoid) For Tolkien's, it's either Sam (Because he's the best), Faramir (Because he's a nice guy) or Eowyn. (Because she's awesome)
  4. That "submit topic" button is mildly intimidating, isn't it?
