  1. You know when you're reading a book or watching a movie, and you've seen/read it before, and something bad is about to happen, and you're hoping that somehow it'll go different this time... and you're just saying, "Just DON'T DO IT!" because you hope that maybe the characters will be smarter this time, forgetting it'll always be the same?

    I hate that.

Wait do you also randomly flip to a page and start reading from there?  I did that a ton, going to a random page in a book I'm familiar with, and then finishing the book in a few hours from there. I practically memorized the entire Inheritance Cycle that way.

Definitely. Once I find the time and motivation and a copy of the book, I don't think Way of Kings is going to last a week.

Now I feel like I'm missing out on all the easter eggs. I've read the entire cosmere (except like White Sand and maybe a couple short stories here and there) but the only one book I've reread was Edgedancer. Totally worth it, Lift is always amazing, but I've forgotten so many details from the books (and now cannot remember every single Hoid cameo, which is a shame)

  4. I need advice.

A friend is starting Mistborn. She likes Kelsier. She says she will quit if Kelsier dies. I said he doesn't.

Should I give her the right to make an informed decision? Will she be more likely to keep going if she knows from the start?

It's not lying if it's truuue......ish.... He's still around, doing his Kelsier things. I guess he isn't in the series anymore, but Vin still will be!

      Spoiler

True, it is about trust... Tell her Kelsier will be fine, because he's the Survivor.

Definitely let her read without too much interference (just tell her to read Secret History after finishing era 1).

  7. Theory: Brandon was tired of people shipping Kaladin and Jasnah. So he made Wit and Jasnah a thing, just to spite all the shippers.

Wait Kaladnah was a thing? I thought it was all Syladin or Shalladin shippers.
