I am currently drawing Kaladin.
Here are the things I am unashamedly 110% procrastinating drawing:
- His hair
- His scars.
- Because they're going to be on a wrinkled forehead...
- It's gonna be so hard...

I'm rereading(well actually listening) to Wingfeather and just happened across this sentence in Warden and the Wolf King...
I just sat there with my hand over my mouth after moaning loudly.
Don't click if you haven't read all of Wingfeather.
SpoilerJanner never made it back to Chimney Hill.

Oh wow
I didn't think this would happen so soon
I made the popular contributors board... for monthly contributors!

I'll stop with the SUs now.

So here's the thing.
I want to read The Lost Metal because of the Cosmerey-ness. I read AoL and SoS(Shadows of Self, not Shadows for Silence)
But I know BoM has some stuff I'm not really comfortable reading in it. I want to read the book! I just... don't feel comfortable doing it. Same with Warbreaker.

I think in BoM and TLM, there's more crass humor, especially from Wayne. That's what I'm hearing at least. I'm still unsure how questionable Warbreaker is, but from what I've gathered, it's not quite as questionable as I'd first assumed. IIRC, the worst it has would be:
SpoilerA "fade to black" scene, several mentions of nudity, one very VERY questionable scene, and a little bit of discussion outside of those scenes. There's also violence, but that's kind of a given with Brandon Sanderson. If anyone remembers anything else, please add to this.

Uhmm, I believe in Warbreaker, it's a handful of specific scenes. However, I don't remember how many scenes there are and how far apart, not to mention a kind of minor plot thread being related to those scenes. None of the...questionable parts are absolutely necessary to enjoy the story, but I could be wrong. I don't remember anything I personally found horrendously explicit, but it was way more explicit than any of Brandon's other books.
Anyone who has read Warbreaker more recently than a year ago, please correct me if I'm wrong.

THERE'S A READING OF ANOTHER KALADIN CHAPTER!!!!!!
-
Time for Episode 7 of "Shallan Stormblessed Misuses Status Updates" aka "She Just Doesn't Think The Topic She's Posting About Is Worth A New Thread"!
So, I swear I saw an official design for Kaladin somewhere, like this one for Dalinar,
Spoilerbut for the life of me I can't find it! Does anyone know where it went?

I believe this is one of the official concept/reference art boards used for the stormlight figures. I can't find them easily, but they should be somewhere on the kickstarter page, I found some under the Updates tab. I don't think all of them have been shared. This is the most I could find of Kaladin.

You know when you're reading a book or watching a movie, and you've seen/read it before, and something bad is about to happen, and you're hoping that somehow it'll go different this time... and you're just saying, "Just DON'T DO IT!" because you hope that maybe the characters will be smarter this time, forgetting it'll always be the same?
I hate that.

Now I feel like I'm missing out on all the easter eggs. I've read the entire cosmere (except like White Sand and maybe a couple short stories here and there) but the only one book I've reread was Edgedancer. Totally worth it, Lift is always amazing, but I've forgotten so many details from the books (and now cannot remember every single Hoid cameo, which is a shame)

I need advice.
A friend is starting Mistborn. She likes Kelsier. She says she will quit if Kelsier dies. I said he doesn't.
Should I give her the right to make an informed decision? Will she be more likely to keep going if she knows from the start?

Theory: Brandon was tired of people shipping Kaladin and Jasnah. So he made Wit and Jasnah a thing, just to spite all the shippers.
