  1. There's also modulolsium, but it just gets the remainders...
  2. I was at the B&N Calamity signing and asked Brandon a question related to using magic systems on other worlds. I know that some of this is information already known, like I knew that Vasher was staying on Roshar because it's easier to get stormlight than breath. But what I wanted to know was could you use stormlight to directly fuel awakening while on Roshar. Here is the audio, and here is the transcript: I had wondered if it was possible for someone to say go from Nalthis to Roshar, use stormlight to awaken something, then travel back to Nalthis and gain a bunch of breath from the item awoken with stormlight. It sounds like it may be possible, though very difficult and would require knowledge that few people have.
  3. I had wondered if Taln's Scar could be something other than a group of stars, like maybe a nebula, another arm of the galaxy, a cosmic event of some sort, a rift in the physical realm, etc. So I looked up the description in The Way of Kings, "Taln's Scar -- a swath of deep red stars that stood out vibrantly from the twinkling white ones -- was high in the sky this season." To me this description makes some of these other theories like nebulas, cosmic events, rifts, etc. less likely since it sounds like they can make out individual red stars, or at least star like points of light in the night sky. I also wonder if the statement of them standing out from the twinkling white stars has an important hints, as in they don't twinkle and therefore aren't really stars or something similar.
  4. Hi! My name is Darren I'm from Orem, Utah. I'm a 30 year old Software Engineer who started reading Sanderson's works about a year ago. Since then Brandon has become my favorite author. I'm currently reading Warbreaker after that I believe the only books of his I haven't read are the Alcatraz series and Infinity Blade: Awakening. I've read a few topics here on 17th shard and used the coppermind wiki several times over the past year and thought it was about time that I created an account.
