  1. So....... I wish i'd had the chance to chat w/ y'all last night before i got lynched, but it's been a wild couple of days irl. So, sorry! I know it makes me look bad, but hopefully, for the good of the team, I can still recover. It's hard to prove a negative, but I'm not elim. I was online during the turn the kill was missed -- if we assume that the final elim is an inactive player, since the kill wasn't submitted when they had a chance to, then the final elim must be someone who wasn't online when they had a chance to submit a kill. Finally, I'm not Daruk -- I survived because I had a Durian. I'd claim my actual role, but I don't think it's a good idea rn, and I don't think you'd believe me if I did...
  2. Alright, if everyone wants to talk, then let's talk. Who are people suspecting, and why? it's a hard game to play if nobody has any secrets lmao /lh the only one who seems to know anything is link, and he obviously can't start blabbing about his source Also, I'd appreciate if some experienced players weighed in: How confident are we that there's only one Yiga left? And, how likely do we think it is that they are or aren't vanilla?
  3. what's your conclusion on the roleclaiming? and if the PM was e/v, what's your read one who is e and who is v?
  4. So, now we get to decide on Tani. Obviously, Drake's claim of Link!Tani was a lie. But the question is, was Drake trying to protect an elim teammate, or get us to waste a cycle by voting off a random villager? The former seems more productive, and therefore more likely, so: Tani. But, I'm willing to hear out arguments to the contrary.
  5. asdlkfasdlf tysm waffs!! I also find it interesting that Drake voted on Szeth twice
  6. Archer, Devotary, Szeth, Jondesu, Alvron, and Tani. Archer - Archer came up with the whole frog/durian plan to id Link and Zelda. It was a good plan, but flawed. Archer took others' criticisms and concerns seriously, and didn't try to defend the plan. This makes me lean Village Devotary - I don't have much of a read at all on them, but I have a gut village read in my notes ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Szeth - Village read, because of tension w Illwei, confirmed elim Jondesu - Not much of a read, but indirectly asked for role scan results a couple nights ago. That plus a gut read makes me lean elim Alvron - not much of a read, again. This one's mostly due to inactivity, tho. Tani - reading elim. I think if Tani legitimately is Link then the Elims know that already and will kill them off tonight. If Tani is not Link, the elims won't bother, and Tani is either a scapegoat distraction or an elim. But we can cross that bridge when we come to it, at the rollover when the game is either over or it's not
  7. So, obviously Drake's final analysis post should be taken with about a million grains of salt. But let's still analyse it. First, let's go through who Drake mentioned in that analysis: They said the Drake/Archer PM was alignment indicative They said Devotary/Drake PM was as well They claimed Szeth as their top suspicion "Jondesu helped me vote for TJ that one time and it is rare for eliminator teammates to vote in sync, so Jondesu is probably a villager" "Alvron is most likely a villager ... because people I agree with must be villagers." Drake claimed that there is not another knight in the game They claimed that Link is Tani. "Devotary just asked me to kill Archer smh the plan was to kill Tani" SO: we have Archer, Devotary, Szeth, Jondesu, Alvaron, and Tani. Their analysis is obviously a last ditch attempt to manipulate us. But, who they accused and who they defended could still give clues. The fact that Archer was mentioned twice and both times implied to be village is interesting, but could be an attempt to target one of our biggest trust reads and undermine that trust. We could glance through Devotary's, Jondesu's and Alvaron's message history since they were Drake's "village reads," although Devotary was implied to be elim in the final paragraph, which makes me think Drake might have been trying to undercut another vil read. I think it's a bad idea to assume Drake was telling the truth about the knight role, so we should play it safe and assume there is another knight. I also think his other role claims (e!urbosa and e!revali) should be taken with a grain of salt. He could have been trying to scare us by claiming powerful roles for the elim team, and it could have also been a gambit to draw those roles into claiming (so that they could then be killed) Obviously, the Link claim is the elephant in the room. I think they were trying to play off of our fear of losing zelda to try to protect an elim teammate. Tani has also been pulling that "vote me off" gambit, which I think is intended as reverse psychology to make us underestimate them. I'm not sure if this is also an attempt to draw the real link into claiming. Szeth's response also makes me lean elim!Tani. Szeth had some genuine tension with Illwei (conf e) early in the game. So, that combined with my existing suspicions of Tani makes me lean e!tani and v!Szeth.
  8. Drake My biggest question now is: Did the elims know that TJ was Zelda when they killed them, or was it just an unlucky (for us) guess? If there is an e!postman, if the e!postman was the one to open the PM between Dannex and TJ, they'd know Zelda's identity as soon as Dannex claimed yesterday. Either way, it's definitely worth reviewing who TJ voted on for days 2 and 3. also, I'm sure it's redundant to point out that since Link killed a villager, he doesn't get a kill action tonight. I think, since we know our Link isn't a loose canon based on the past days' kills, it's safe to assume it was a knight redirect. We could try to scan for Knight roles if we have any remaining sheikah, but we'd still have to sus out their alignments the old-fashioned way.
  9. Everyone is making some good points about Drake. Drake gave illwei a village read on day 1, and now they're defending the same person illwei and araris went out of their way to defend. Better yet, they're targeting TJ, a player many of us seem to have a village read on. TJ got a vote from illwei in one of the past cycles, too, which is another thing to consider. I'd also like to point out that Drake predicted e!Rhoam. While it could have been a good deduction or even just a lucky guess, they haven't yet said what made them think that. Personally, I'd like an explanation. In the same post in which Drake reminded us that they called e!rhoam, they suggest that everyone with a durian sends it to the person they think might be link or zelda. This plan rubs me the wrong way. The people who requested durians (if every player was thinking strategically) should have been those with strong or important roles, and if Link and/or Zelda are properly in "deep cover", then none of us should have any idea who either of them are. Strong roles getting rid of powerful items on a hunch about who might be zelda or link seems like an ill-thought-out plan. For now, I'm keeping my vote on TUO, but I'd like to hear more from Drake as well.
  10. Right now I tend to agree that 2 confirmed elims heavily defending TUO from the beginning is too much to be a coincidence
  11. Very slowly going thru the player list to get some tentative reads now that some roles have been outed... not enough time left in the turn nor braincells left in my head to get into it rn but for those of u noticing my lurking, rest assured the gears are turning! i'm just still getting used to this game lol
  12. It really was a shame about that innocent hunter who died on a false accusation. Those least established in the community always seemed the first to go -- Horatio determined to keep a closer eye on the people in his employ. As house staff, they were easy to accuse and easy to frame. They said little and observed much, but what little they said could be easily twisted against them by a clever Yiga spy. If he could keep a close enough eye on them then he could feel confident about either condemning or defending them. As it was, his work had kept him very busy, so he hadn't had an abundance of time to get a good read on every resident of the castle. But Horatio has always had an eye for detail. The louder residents could be handled by others -- anyone could talk a big game, after all, and games of embellishment and exaggeration weren't Horatio's cup of tea. No, instead he focused on the detail work: he knew that it was the quiet ones that truly posed the biggest threat, after all, and so that's who Horatio paid attention to.
  13. Horatio Archibald Stibbons has always been a pragmatic and levelheaded man. He keeps a watchful eye on every aspect of the castle and the people in his care, and thinks carefully about the solution to any problem. He takes obstacles in stride and believes that any challenge can be overcome with patience and hard work. Unfortunately, getting bloodstains out of carpet takes quite a lot of patience and hard work. Still, despite the fear running through each artery of this castle, the work must continue. Now that everyone is cloistered in their chambers, meals must be plated up and brought to rooms individually. People must still be fed, after all, and fires tended; not to mention, the garden keeps on growing no matter how fearful the landscapers are. Although the diplomatic work has ground to a halt while they search for the traitors in their midst, there is always work to be done for the housekeeping staff -- the bustling hidden world tucked away behind secret passages and narrow staircases, and which is the beating heart of Hyrule Castle. Horatio hopes the diplomats will sort out this traitor business soon, though. The more blood is spilled, the more stains there will be to wash up. He'll keep an eye out for anything suspicious, but for now, it's business as usual.
  14. New player here :D I'm attic, and I'm playing as Hyrule Castle's elusive Butler, Horatio Archibald Stibbons! He is a mustachioed older man with stark white hair and a suit. He is methodical, detail-oriented, and very polite. He makes it his business to know everyone's business as long as they stay within the castle. I plan to write an introductory rp post eventually but for now, I just need to secure my spot!
