  1. Nice! I'll see them. Thanks!
  2. Can someone please recommend a fantasy or science fiction movie or tv show to me? I want something that is visually stunning. While it can have dark elements in it, I don't want something with a very dark storyline. I have watched The Letter for the King, Shadow and Bone, Doctor Who, and Stardust and loved it. I'm looking for something like that, if it's possible? Thank you.
  3. I'll check it out. Thanks for replying!
  4. I had wanted to get into anime, so I'll try it out. Thanks!
  5. I'll definitely give Fringe a try. Thanks!
  6. I would give GoT a try were it not so grimdark. I don't like extremely dark fantasy. Ooh, I didn't know there were Discworld adaptations! I am planning on reading the books so, If I can find the movies anywhere I'll definitely watch them! Thanks so much.
  7. Oh, I have watched LotR. It's amazing. Personally, GoT is just way too grimdark for me. But thanks a lot for the suggestions!
  8. Thanks! If you are talking about an antagonist who was supposed to be unlikeable- Amaram. I just can't get over what he did to Kaladin. And if you are talking about a protagonist that I didn't like- maybe Eshonai. She just seemed a bit...stuck-up.
  9. Hello everybody! It's my first time here. I mainly came to this site because I was getting really sick of having nobody to discuss the Cosmere with. So. I first got into the Cosmere way back in February of this year when I picked up Mistborn- The Final Empire. And I was so sure that I wouldn't read any other Cosmere books, because they all just seemed so big. Here I am, nearly five months later, with only Rhythm of War and Arcanum Unbounded left to finish reading the Cosmere. I have less than 300 pages left to finish Rhythm of War, and I will read Arcanum Unbounded later this month. And oh my god, what an amazing experience this has been. Sorry for the long rant. I am just so happy to finally have people to tell all this to. Oh, and can someone please tell me how to tag my posts?
  10. Oh. Okay. That makes sense. Thanks for your help.
  11. I am completely new to this site. I just joined today. And being the complete and utter fool I am, I decided to test the hide feauture that is at the top of a post. I think its under moderations actions. Anyway, what even is this thing? Does it mean I have deleted that post? Is there anyway I can reveal that post? Is it hidden just for me or for all? Can I ever get it back? I am so confused.
  12. Thanks for the answer!
  13. Aw. Can you please tell me how to ask a mod to unhide it?
  14. Funny. Also, who's Chaos?
  15. Thank you so much! And I am extremely happy to be here!
  16. That's amazing. And Elantris, though being Brandon Sanderson's debut novel, is still an amazing story. As for Dawnshard, I don't think that it has a physical copy yet and I hate reading ebooks. So I'm going to have wait till they come out with a physical copy to read it. I can totally relate to not having anybody else who has read the Cosmere. It's why I came to this site. Also, thank you so much for telling me about the tags, but I knew that. I should have been more specific. I meant like is there a set of tags that you have to choose from, or can you just write anything? Thank you for replying to me, gancho.
  17. Thank you so much for replying! I will check out those LGBTQ books. Both seem like just the type I was looking for. I will check out the YA fantasy books by female authors as well, since 'the opposite gender's only sole priority in life is the other gender ' thing sounds like it would be pretty entertaining.
  18. I am looking to expand the genres I read and I was looking to get into ya romance novels. I want a funny light-hearted romance novel. Snarky protagonist is preferable. So, keeping that in mind, is Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda worth reading? Also I will welcome recommendations. The protagonists should be 15 to 18 years old. The romances can be LGBTQ or heterosexual. Thank you.
  19. Thanks so much for the recommendations! I don't care much for John Grenne's books, but 48 Shades of Brown is available where I live, and it looks interesting. I'll definitely check it out. So, thanks!
  20. Kelsier. And Kaladin if I get to pick two.
  21. Nice! Who's your favourite character?
